Here are some photos for comparison. My phone camera does really show the slight variations in the white between dials but you can roughly tell which is whiter.

I damaged the 1 o’clock hour marker on the V2.2 dial while cleaning it, part of lime came off. Please excuse the dust, couldn’t see it when taking photos.

It has been written (i think also from people that have gen in hand also,if i remember correctly) that clean case is off, so i had took it for granted, in your posted pictures i can not understand any difference s, i see the exactly same case. Can you see something off?

Edit: tbh except from the red daytona lettering i dont see any other difference

This gen looks like it has a condom on with all those stickers LMAO

This is crazy to me. Keeping it nice for the next owner.

I know folks do it, lots of them and I know lots of folks think it nuts. Horses for course.

Yeah, by now I've got the idea that faithfully replicating the Daytona lettering and positioning it correctly close to the subdial is the hardest thing. So far, no one has managed to do it properly.

I commented on those in the other thread, subdials look a bit too think, the dial is kinda underwhelming, the rest is good

Just a quick comparison thrown there, not bad, but I was expecting more from CF for the dial

I don't think the subdials are quite there, yet. IMO they still have a bit too much shine, something the gen does not have but under certain lightning. I have the gen 116520 black dial if someone wants to send me the CF 116520 for a side by side. Can the experts chime in as to why the factories can't seem to get the shine right?

True .. the sub dial shine is a unique technology of rolex in their MK series , that cannot be replicated . Thats why CF seems to have more success with the panda to a certain extent. Some 520 subdials are matte , shiny and some are both depending on the lighting . The watch is a perfect base for frankening or modding. For 800 dollars someone should have a humble expectation i believe.

In couple of months i am sure we will see some great frankens out there

Idk bro but this sounds like an oxymoron.

Can’t stay humble or have humble expectations if you are paying 800$ as a “franken” base, that implies at least 1.5-2k to spend on a genuine dial lmao.

We are expecting at least better than the other factories did in the past.

And asymmetric minute markers is not that ahahahahah

I agree with you they can do better , and it is their first attempt, but again will never be close or give you the satisfaction of a gen specs, quality and attention to details , it will always be good for the price , and the hobby we are in obliges us to take them to the next level at our own effort and extra cost.

Even in noob , all their versions had flaws , i don’t think CF will have as much flaws as noob though. Good luck

Depends which year your gen is. I have a gen 2013 116520 with chromalight and the subdials are pretty shiny.

Earlier models were more mate and sometimes and a little bit brownish
