CLEAN Factory 124060 No Date Submariner New Release

I did a profile comparison of the CF and VSF 114x in another thread, and the thing with CF is that they don’t have as much of an angle on the side profile of the case. So the result is that the overall top width of the CF case is like 0.2mm wider than the VSF, leading to the slightly chunkier look.

I’ve got a CF 124060 and VSF 126610 which I’ll do a similar photo of later, but here’s the shot I did for the 114060 (same focal length and positioning so there’s no lens distortion):

I might actually do a bezel, crystal and internals swap over to a VSF126610 case as an experiment to make a sleeker looking 124060 rep… just for fun

Yes I can confirm the difference is quite noticeable I just bought a gen 114060 and on wrist at first it felt like 124 as the lugs were so much thinner (less chunkier case / look) than I was used to

I ordered the CF124060 just to get the dial so I could convert a VSF 126610 into a no-date. I have a gen 3235 movement so I wanted to put it in the best watch possible which I assumed would be the VSF. I did inside outside comparisons of the two cases, bezels, and bracelets and saw no difference except for the crystal which I was changing anyway. To me everything looks like it came from the same manufacturer so I used the CF parts and built a beautiful superfranken. I also modded the SELs on both the VSF and CF bracelets for a slightly more genlike appearance, but I don’t consider it a must-do operation. I just enjoy working on my watches. People can nitpick this to death but the parts are a very premium quality. Not that there’s anything wrong with nitpicking.

Hi guys, I’m new to the 124060 game but there’s so many great feedback on the CF 124060 which I’m keen to get. On the other hand, I was wondering if I would regret if VSF decides to release the 124060 after.
Some thoughts on this would help thanks great fam here

Nobody knows if VSF will ever be back to business, so there might not be anything to regret.
I have both and even if VSF is slightly better , for me it is just because of a higher quality control standards , like with the bezel a bit loose on CF…

Get the CF, enjoy it for an indeterminate number of months.. if by some miracle VSF one day releases a 124060 rep… sell the CF and get a VSF. Otherwise just enjoy the CF for now!

my cf movement sets time forward when I rotate the crown towards me, my gen 116610 sets time forward when I rotate the crown away from me.

Rotating the crown counter-clockwise advances the hands forward on the genuine 3230/3235.
