Thanks for the pictures, this dial is amazing. Is this for the 3135 movement?

I just got mine too. I tried to check it out in natural light because natural light is always the best but for a hulk. But as pelagatic said... It's Gloomy. But he pretty much covered it all.

The markers look really good. They're nice and bold. That's one of the most irritating details of rep dials to me.

The pictures don't really do it justice. Especially indoor pics. From what I can tell so far.

Lume against gen

Nice. I was trying to compare it to the hands I have but because they are under the crystal I couldn't tell if my eyes were playing tricks on me. Nice pics. I can't wait to see what crazy stuff you have planned for this dial. I know it's probably going to blow every other project out of the water. Lol.

Lol. My pics are outside. It’s just like almost 4pm o; a pretty dark and gloomy day. That is exactly why I posted 2nd pics (in additions to pelagatic) so that I could shoot them in natural light.

I feel like I’m in the twilight zone. Lol

i have to check it out in natural light myself. You just can’t tell from indoor visuals and indoor pics.

Indoors (so far) the dial seems to have a similar color and shimmer of the BP dial. It looks really dark in some conditions but has a nice sheen in others. Hopefully.

now that I have it, Im thinking I should have got two. Then I’d have one to lend out.

Nothing crazy on this one bud. Budget build. Have a nice noob base lucked out with good lugs and sels. Maybe a gen crystal vr3135 and gen dw. Have a nice insert as well.

The more I look at it, the more I think it's really just an expensive BP dial with better lume/better indices.

At just about every angle, it looks very very very similar. At least indoors so far.

I’ll order one. I can do comparison to gen if nobody gets to it first.

And if the BP dial is from a miyota and this CF dial is from a 3135, then there is additional value getting this CF to be put into a 3135 hulk (whether noob or arf or whatever factory with 3135 movement without additional mods to the dial feet).
Now, the question is what is a better hulk insert (definitive)?

Hazing how’s the date window compare does the BP have the little step down from the dial surface as I noticed the CF doesn’t. Do you mean Lume material colour better than BP or just the glow? Thanks for the info. I have BP incoming but wonder if it’s worth ordering the CF

They both have it - the date window recess.

And lume? both actually. The lume looks stronger with a deeper blue lume which looks closer to the lume of the gen hands in my current hulk. But I couldn't tell 100% if it was my eyes playing tricks on me.

Also the material color looks slightly better from memory iirc. The material on the BP dial and arf dial is white while on clean dial is a little slightly off white.

I too have just received my QC for the CF dial more out of what some of the esteemed members have said as my interest is always peaked when there is something new!

I am working on a franken hulk project and have gone with a GMF dial which will be modded with ARF markers.

the build is currently in progress so will be curious to see how the CF dial stacks up to a GMF dial with ARF markers - hopefully will be able to post comparison shots

First shot is GMF dial and other shots are QC for CF...
