Hey my friends,

After all these troubles and delays, here it finally comes the Explorer II with DD3285 on both black and white!

Let’s welcome our two beauties~~~

The main point of this model is the newest movement now, it’s the same as GMT II but bigger in size, the date position is also slightly different. And you know we’ve been working on this model for a long while, because it’s a not-so-popular model compared to others, most movement factories(especially Dandong) wouldn’t spend their energy on it. Clean has talked to them many times to get this movement done for us, don’t miss the chance to order it.

When we think about the older Explorer II 216570, the most obvious difference is the thinner bezel font like the black one from Gen in the pictures(this piece is old), and the white Gen is the latest version. Other than the crown on the dial and the case shape, the diameter from 226570 is the same as 216570.

All in all, Clean Explorer II is what we are looking for even in the whole Rolex collection. I’ve always thought there were something missing before Clean’s version, now we finally have this baby, I will be satisfied for a while haha.

And the black one:

That's all for now, we will take pre-orders untill the first release(around in 2-3 weeks), please contact our WhatsApp for more details.

Edit: Clean has corrected the 'fat' crown and short 'E' on the dial, here add some pictures for the latest batch

They look pretty good under macrolevel. But that bezel font is so bad :( they should aslo have fixed the crown before release. But it cant be 100% same as Rolex. Solid release, just need some genuine parts :)

Outstanding side by side comparison as always @CTime. A dd3285 movement in an explorer 2 has been a long time coming. Like all reps, the Clean Explorer 2 has flaws; some minor (bezel text not being curved) and some major (winding crown being thick). But this is an excellent first version. I hope to see an update with a thin crown soon.

First of all, thank you @CTime for your work on this comparison.
Unfortunately what will stop me and probably many others from buying is the fat crown. I hope you can use your contact at Clean to get this fixed quickly. As you have already written, the model is not as popular as other models. The efforts of Clean and DD for this model should also be rewarded with good sales.

First of all I want to thank @CTime for this amazing work. As always your photos are on top notch level and youa re very transparent!
But also I have mixed feelings on this released.

On that level of manufacturing ya cant tell me that CLEAN, who did already see the release of the GMF explorer 2 in versions 1 (fat crown) and version 2 (updated slim crown) and saw that people bought V1 AND V2 after that, did not put in this flaw intentional.
I mean damn, double profit with a v2 which is guaranteed that the replica-fans will buy? why not?

Slowly making a step more back from the factory that sadly has the best quality overall, but keep in mind that we dont forget why they are not called ZZF anymore and we dont forget why ZZF V2s is called "junior" edition.

I simply hope that its just a prototype and they did not order already 8000 Crown Unites from the crown supplier.

Great effort CTime.
Amazing comparison pictures.
Even though I agree with the comments above and believe that some of imperfections could have been easily rectified if the Dandong movement is reliable it s still going to be a good buy.
I wish I had waited for this instead of buying the GMF which is an absolute time bomb.

Thanks @CTime
Hope it's a prototype, I will buy the black if they fix the following.
1. Crown is too thick
2. Bezel font too bold
3. Dial font too bold (less noticeable on black)

Apart for the crown size, another true 1:1 from Clean…AND with Clean’s exclusive DD3285 movement 😎

@CTime any thoughts on correcting the crown before production 🙏

So we all are different. The crown is obvious tell, engraving isnt (when wearing the watch. For me thats it in appearance. but we all have different priorities.
Not exactly my priority, but then I saw this so many times I couldn't stop myself from asking questions. I have 3 STEEL INOX bracelets myself.

@CTime
Is this the watch that will go in production or will there be minor fixes like crown or bezel engraving or STEEL INOX bracelet engraving?
Edit: Talking about V1 of course lol

@CTime can you confirm the thread size of the crown? I'm sure a lot of folks here would be interested in picking up v1 if they knew it would be possible to swap in a gen or GMF thin crown. For this we need to know the thread diameters that are at play. Specifically: What is the diameter of the threads on the crown tube (both the thread that goes into the case, and the thread onto to which the crown is screwed down)? With this information we'll be able to know if it's possible (without re-drilling / tapping) to fit a gen crown tube & crown, or (hopefully) if it's possible to fit a gen crown onto the existing CF stock crown tube that's already installed.
