I read on RWG that the seconds are jerky like some of the IWC porto's .

True... it seems customers are not happy at all with the 7750 movement in this watch... 4 people sharing their experiences and 4 people unhappy for the money they paid... that's a too high percentil, isn't it ?

But this applies to the 300+ one, right?

I have read on this forum that the cheaper one (but with wrong datewheel) is smooth and nice.

...and what is this "Superb Lume" bullshit?

I have a feeling your not getting super-lume, but that this is just another lie they tell to increase sales.

That is correct, its the dearer one i'm referring to, it uses the chrono function for the second hand , probably got a poor power reserve too, I want one but no-one seems to be taking p*y*al so I'll have to think about how to pay.

I'm suspicious of those comments about the seconds hand running off the chrono. It doesn't make sense to me. Why not just use a transfer gear to run the seconds off its normal 9 o'clock position? Perhaps the problems are with the transfer gear? I'm waiting for someone like Ziggy to actually examine the movement.

I too would probably buy the 21J version w/ new black datewheel for $100 if someone would take PP. However, there's no way the quality of the case is as good as the $300 version. Angus posted side-by-side pics. There are serious case flaws in the 21J version, and $300 looks like it's nearly 1:1. Also, remember that the 21J version does not have a sapphire crystal. That's usually a deal breaker for me, but for $100, what the heck...

They're posted on TRC in the "Eyecandy" section. The thread is titled "Chopard Mille Miglia Gt Xl 2nd Improved Version."

The comparison shots are at Page 6 of the thread.

Hello sir,

Thanks for the response, I am not sure what TRC is. I am guessing The Replica... ? I am only a member on this site.

Please respond via PM if it isn´t to be written in public.

Thanks again,

Aye! Now I get it. Replicacollector. But it seems to be a need for a registration and a fee.

Never mind, I guess those comparison shots aren´t worth 5 euros since the watch is about 70 overall if bought here.

Thanks!

Just take a look at the 2nd improved version, 2 more things have to be implemented before launching:

1. While dial should have black date background and white date font.

2. Movement engraving -- will be 99% same as original.

Let's wait for this beauty to come out, enjoy.

It has already the sapphire crystal with AR and correct date mag, the rubber strap is nice, too.

Any suggestions are welcomed
