Someone on RC suggested a group buy.

I'd pick this thing up for 230-250. 330 is way too high.

I was about to say the same thing...I think if there are enough we might actually get it down taht low.

Has anyone bought one of these yet? It would be nice to have a review to see if it's worth the extra $$$

Trust me - I'm not crapping on your idea but...

When was the last time a group buy reduced the price by anywhere even CLOSE to $100. My experience watching (but not participating) is you save $10, $20, maybe even $30 but it takes 4 times as long to get the watch and a lot of confusion in the meanwhile.

I bet a group buy for this watch MIGHT go as low as $300

just my $0.02

That is still too much...IMO.

I would buy it if it is around $250.

Give it a few weeks. If it doesn't sell at this price point they'll drop their prices to blow them out.

Rotor doesn't bother me that much. I'll just pull the stickers off. How many times do you take the watch off, hand it to a person, and honestly try to play it off as a gen fellows? If the conversation gets to the point were someone wants to hold the watch, then they are most likely a watch lover and I'll tell them its a rep!

Cheers! 8)

I bought the "old" version for $108 from Josh - wrong date wheel - big deal. It's a great watch that nobody will know its a replica, unless they "really" know their Chopards and are studying yours. Buy the one for $108 - it looks/wears/feels like a million bucks. Super smooth crown, unlike all my other reps.

Agreed. My one from Narikaa. At the time I said it looks and feels much more expensive than it actually cost - and it still does! :D

The only downside is that I don't dress smart enough to wear it often!

The rotor text on this is printed :)

Why did they make the gen white dial version with a black date wheel?? WTF?

Unless you really knew your Chopards, you'd say that was a rep!

Well I guess I wouldn't know that, seeing I've been a member here for not even 2 months.. I'm used to doing group buys for car stuff.

Prince version at 110 shipped (to Europe) looks great in the pictures. Any comments, experts? He just posted it today. Any input would be helpful, I have compared this watch with my catalouge picture and I can not see any difference worth mentioning.

Thanks,

Niclas from Sweden

I can't see any visible difference in the $100 one and the new upgraded model. There is a difference in the movement but not enough in my opinion to warrant the difference in price, The black date wheel is the clincher for me and the $100 model seems to have it. The cases are identical and the strap and clasp are the same. I'm in on the $100...it's a steal at the price IMO....

I think the one that The Prince is selling for $100 will slow down the sales of the $328 one.

I read on RWG that the seconds are jerky like some of the IWC porto's .

And I read that Daytona with seconds at 6 are unreliable :p
