Just had a watch from Ryan clear Customs this afternoon in Chicago after sitting there for 4 days. I thought for sure it was going to get seized.

Yes, Stan does get them from China, then customers get them from him. So that would technically rule out customs issues from dealer to customer, no?
Reviews of Stan say product can be received in as little as 2-3 days depending on where your location is. Sounds good to me.
Of course, that's after he receives it.

I currently have one sitting "inbound ISC Chicago" for 8 days.....hopefully they are just so back logged that's it's taking forever to clear....my package came from the UK too, so not necessarily "flagged from China"

So I decided to order my first rep (GMT-II Noob) with toro.
I received my QC pics on Jan 13rd. The tracking number on Jan 15th.
It was @ Chicago Customs on the 17th.
I unfortunately received the seized letter on Jan 29th.
Contacted toro on Feb 1st, decided to get a AP ROO Schumi Platinum instead.
Got my QC pics on Feb 3rd.
Decided to use HK post this time and ship it my buddies' house who has quite a collection of reps.
He never had a rep seized, in fact he ordered the AP ROO Lebron the same time I ordered the GMT-II and got his.
Was out for delivery Feb 21st but didn't get it successfully delivered until March 2nd.

CSB? tl;dr ?

I love the Schumi and can't wait to order from toro again.

My HK posts took 7 days once in the country to get to me in Chicago, about 21 days in total. HK post is slooooooow. But they arrived safely

I'm afraid this will be the option that most TD's will migrate to, if this problem continues. At least for some period of time until Chicago's focus returns to normal. They certainly can't maintain this level of focus on small package shipments for long, unless they've added a heck of a lot of staff.........

It's only a question of time before they are on to the HK post option. Spread the word, people. "Chicago is a no go." [emoji15]

So this is the second watch in a month. 2 out of 2.
Both packages were directed to Miami. Both EMS.
Different addresses and names.
Is it only me?

It's not like "we" consumers can choose where our packages go. Doesn't it go to the closest customs port to where you live (to cut down on transit times?)
People living in Midwestern states it goes to Chicagoland, Texas is Dallas, Northeastern states is NYC, I'm sure there are two ports in California for western coast people, South Florida, etc... I thought that's the "default?!"
So someone who lives in say Minnesota is going to get their pkg thru Chicagoland customs, no matter what! It's not going to go to Miami then be sent halfway across the country... That makes no sense!

My point is people who live in those areas where their shipment will logistically come thru the Chicago ISP might be better advised to use an address that will ensure their shipment is not routed thru Chicago. Someone suggested a group Po box in LAX. I think the idea is worth considering at this point. Of course, the devil is in the detail.

Well i'm in Chicago and it's 50/50 where the packages come through - some Chi and some NY.

I think it may well have more to do with where the package comes from - Ive noticed my China shipments come into Chicago, whereas mostly european ones come through NY.

Ive resorted to buying M2M for now as the heat is too much risk, Ill wait until it dies down to get more TD orders in - it's not fair on the TDs to keep replacing items, and it's not like we insure them - ultimately WHO should lose out - someone has to, but I fear TDs won't take it for much longer, or the wholesale option will become more popular - a discount on the watch for taking all the risk. Although as things stand, who would do it?!
