My last few orders, DHL was recommended as the shipping method and all of them have arrived in 2-3 days with no problems. I was nervous after reading on here that DHL is risky.

Chicago Customs Seized/Confiscated

mine now 13 days in Chicago customs with no update- went in on the 13th I guess as it said "Processed Through Sort Facility" on the 13 and the next statement says "inbound into customs" nothing since. I am in CO and have only had shipment land in Chicago 3 times during 2014 and this is the first I think in 2015. Still keeping fingers crossed. On the other hand I've had shipments scanned saying other place is preparing to ship and then nothing for 2 weeks online at all. Then it shows up at my door, so who knows.
Which shipping method did you use? EMS? I have EMS shipping still stuck in Chicago customs for 4 days.
My last three orders in last two week using DHL flew through customs within few hours with delivery time of 2 days or less. I will not use EMS again. That's too bad since Pure-Time has good selection but only ship through EMS or airmail.That's a really long time for a rep to cool its heels in Chicago customs. Hope for the best, but prepare your mind for the worst (confiscation letter)
Agree - anything north of a week in Customs will most likely turn out badly - especially Chicago.
DHL is blazing fast. Shipped June 27th (Saturday) with a scheduled delivery of Monday June 29th. Of course this is actually not what i wanted because i am still in NY and wont be at my new place till July 1st. If i would have known this i would have shipped it to NY. Thats crazy fast especially since its coming from China

You can call DHL or use their OnDemand option from their website to schedule delivery at specific date or put package on hold for pickup at one of their locations.
I actually did it after fumbling around their site for awhile. I am used to having that option on the same page as the tracking info.
Any update? My EMS package has been in Chicago customs for two weeks now.
Anyone know how long before you receive a letter that your package has been confiscated?

OK...got notice today of a scan that normally indicates Customs has been cleared. Next scan should be Des Moines in a few hours.
How many days after entering customs did you guys received the confiscation letter? My EMS package has been stuck in Chicago customs for 26 days and still no letter. TD said they will resend only when I receive proof with confiscation letter... Close to 6 weeks since purchase. Frustrating to say the least at the TD (I expressed concern about EMS shipment to Chicago before the purchase; was told they offer DHL but after purchase, I was told they don't and only offer EMS for express shipping) and EMS/USPS.
Even without a letter, enough time has passed for your TD to assume the obvious. He can at least check the tracking and see the package hasn't been delivered for an inordinately long time.
Sorry to say that my firts replica from Pure-time was stopped in custom, what can I do?, resend it to China?, will they reship my order? newbie here....
