Chicago Customs Seized/Confiscated

Not looking good for my package which arrived in Chicago on the 6th - still in Customs on the 11th.
Keeping my fingers crossed but fully prepared to receive the seizure letter.
Damn customs agents - don't they have anything better to do than look for counterfeit watches.

I ended up ordering another one, then changed my mind on that, and ordered two different APs. They'll be coming in different packages this time. Sead is great.
I also ordered something else (a guitar)- the shipper was very insistent on it not going though Chicago- even though it wasn't technically a rep. They made sure that it came in through NYC. Apparently, things from China are hot with Chicago.

The funny thing about guitars is that even though you can swap the logo like I do, it can still be nabbed for trade dress violation. I wonder if they train customs agents to recognize Gibson open book headstocks...
Also, whoever paid $700 for their rep guitar was ripped off.
Hi, any update on this? I have 6 watches on the way, one package has been at customs since the 9/feb and other since the 11.
Still no movement on my package.

That's tough. I've never (knock on wood) had one confiscated, even through (double knock on wood) M2M sales. Its times/threads like this that I love our TD's and their customs policy.
Got mine too. Now I'll Contact Toro and wait until after CNY probably before he can send replacement. Glad he's a good TD here.

Just got notice of Chicago seizure as well. Have not contacted TD yet since I wanted to see what the community here has experienced. Real bummer. This is only my second order.
Good God, I was hoping the heat was coming down a bit, but apparently not.
Isn't there any strategy the dealers could come up with, some type of packaging, or possibly triangle shipping within the US so people would get their watches?
I'm from Chicago, want to order the Noob v5 Sub after CNY, but am very worried it won't make it to me. This truly sucks, first time had to worry about this, been collecting reps over 10 years.

If Chicago customs really is upping their game, what happens when a replacement shipment from a TD is seized? Will they send a third/fourth/refund/sorry you're on your own after X attempts? I bought from Tony, who's been great to work with so far, but this is kind of thing could really shake up the business model.
Maybe those guys in Chi town realized what to look for and they wanted some bad ass reps to wear to work. Who knows, but that's pretty crazy so much has been captured there. Thank goodness my shipments don't go through chicago.
