Hi guys,

I know this may not be the best thread to post this in, but I thought it better than starting a brand new thread.

I was planning on buying a CF Batman/Batgirl, but I've heard that CF has had some problems with its initial batch (speedbumps, DW, etc.), does anyone have any insight if they've improved some of those issues with subsequent releases?

You are so right. This is a clean blro. In fact even the blnr is clean and so is the DD40

So why is your BLRO missing the crown at the 6'o clock? Rolex never made a 116710BLRO lol unless you bought a white gold pepsi and added an aftermarket jubilee?


Do you have a Rolex that Rolex themselves didn't knew they made lol.

As for my source, It's actually not WatchVS for this "updated model". It's from a Chinese Friend which is more on private sales to me so that's why I don't like sharing my "plug". Don't want to get banned or anything. If I'm allowed, I can probably PM my dealer if you're interested.

Most Chinese dealers don't offer any custom protection and their QC may not be what you're used to so that may be a shock to you when you order from them. I'm fine ordering from them since I know what I'm getting in the end is the same.

Haha, I don't blame you. It is actually a gen 116710 that I converted into a 126710blro with gen pepsi bezel/insert and hands. Also gen bracelet.

Haha knew it. Threw me off that the bezel looked Gen but the dial was wrong.

I was thinking they messed your dial up during servicing or it's some kind of franken of Gens.

Sure, I mean if anyone is interested with buying from my dealer. Shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

My dealer is rather on the smaller scale. He doesn't stock up and his quantity is limited. CLEAN is also on break so they aren't shipping watches out as of the moment.

I'll take more pictures once there's sun out in my area. It will be redundant if I keep sharing you guys indoors picture of mine since you already seen it. An outdoor picture in direct sunlight will help us see if my bezel is different from the earlier batch .

The Bezel Insert color improvement is actually very minimal. It's not the biggest change. I can see a difference in the CF ones posted in this thread early on since the color under sunlight is very weird.

The "early" batch seems to have a blue that's more Cyan than purple. I think CLEAN is slowly fixing it.

That insert looks so, so much better now. That's the deal breaker that got fixed for me. I keep seeing qc with the initial insert which is a shame. I assume that eventually the production of the new insert will eventually reach TDs and that's when I'll grab one! With the lip mod and an aftermarket crystal this looks like a worthy rep for sure. I can deal with the chunky lugs.

A simple way to understand it's true is by realizing the old batch never demonstrated the cherry red colors as shown by the new batch in any lighting. I have seen MANY of the initial batch inserts in all sorts of lighting imaginable and it never not had a brown undertone to it. It might appear brighter but still brown even in bright sunlight or artificial light. None of them look like the new batch in any lighting.

Hey, at least with taped inserts swapping to a new batch insert will only take you about 30 minutes if you really prefer! You still have a great looking watch as is.

Haha yeah and I machined up press dies for the removal of pressure fit gmt inserts especially for this release and now I don’t even need to use them

new crystal I made using a prof cyclops on an old gen
lugs slimmed slightly.
bracelet SELS slightly pressed to drop them
to lug high ( not protruding )
bezel fully machined to gen spec. Including deeper scallops, bottom relief angle brought up to the bottom of the scallops in line with the top of the crown level. Lip machined and enough to create an internal edge to press fit the insert.

the insert surprisingly is not bad, the transition Finish isn’t even noticeable to the human eye… pretty much only caught in photos.
ps- please dont pm me asking for mods I’m not a vendor lol. Plus the bezel took bloody hours to set up for machining.

That’s a great mod! How did u slimmed the lugs?
