Yeah after reading all these comments, I'm glad I started a wise account all those years back. It really is a gamechanger when it comes to convenience in paying private vendors. Esp since it also offers a better USD/CAD conversion rate, at least from my limited experience using it

Just use crypto. You can still use your credit card to purchase bitcoin, usdt or whatever and then just send that to the TD. Most TD's will give you a nice discount for paying in crypto too since they pay ridiculous high processing fees on every credit card transaction. It's a win/win IMO.

BTC and all those stablecoins on the ETH chain, the gas is far higher than any discount they could offer. I will always pay by crypto if they accept USDC or EURC etc on Base or Solana chain but they won’t.

Wise is really great, I used it previously for some payments so I already had a verrified account -> Sending money (in this case to Andiot Watches) took ~3 minutes and payment fees were around 15 Euros (and would've been less, around 5 Euro, if I would have chosen a "slower" way of transfering my money to wise (2 days instead of instant)).

Imo the hassle of converting your money into USDC or something like it isn't worth it, if you do not already have a coin.

I think it depends on TD as wise/revolut have fees associated with SWIFT etc which add up
