Can the newly released XF V2 FC Diver 15706 be considered a super rep?

Had the same problem, ordered the low beat, got QC photos of a high beat.
Rejected these.
Dealer then took about 3 days to find me a low beat vrsion. I only received 1 qc photo showing the beat rate, no dial shots.

Not holding out much hope that I get a good V2 lowbeat watch.

Same here, I just got the 1 pic showing a low beat rate only. I have asked the whole QC pics.

The Low Lands
Friends, is it true that this diver had a retail price of approx. 27.000,- dollar and that it is not for sale anymore? If that is so, we all have collectors items around our wrists. haha ;):)

retail was around 23.000,- USD if i remember well. Resell is much more yes. And it was discontinued so yeah it is quite rare nowadays. Same with the ceramic diver even though it was not as much (unofficially) limited as the carbon diver.

I bought a set of ARed cyclop and crystal from prof, does anyone know how to install the cyclop onto the dial?

It is a sandwich dial construction where you have to place the cyclops in between these two parts - maybe some modders can also chime in for some process shots.

I dont know if XF decided to glue the parts together...

I had done, It is a sandwich dial, glue the parts together as BIONONE refer to.

Thanks for reply. Could you tell me some details about how to separate a dial and put the cyclop in between? What did you use to remove the glue?

Thanks for reply. I have both the JF dial and the XF dial at hand, but I can’t figure out how to remove the glue, separate the dial and put the cyclop in between. Any hints or details would be much appreciated.

Not to hijack someone else's thread, but just curious : What movement do you guys prefer for 15706 XF v2?

My preferred TD has only Asian 2836, but from what I understand Trusty has Swiss 2836 and Swiss low beat 2846.

So how much better are those Swiss hi/low beats? I would prefer to buy from a TD here though.. and although Trusty has good reviews, he is not a TD here.

Report: I have successfully put the dial apart with a razor! It is not hard.
Does anybody know what kind of glue I should use to put the parts together? Thanks in advance.

All kind glue is ok, you need enough time to adjust the position. Surface dry time more than 2 minutes glue fixed is better,

I used plastic sheets to cover them for protection, then gummed paper to fixed. tie the dial tight.

Swiss 2836 better than asian 2836.

low beats ETA2846 only for Senior guy. ETA2836 is more stable.

Modified ETA 2846/2840> powermatic 80 (or other ETA C07.111)> ETA 2846>ETA 2836> A 2836 which is indeed a seagull ST2130.

All of the above are relatively stable and accurate except for the powermatic 80, which is also the most expensive.

I would not get an ETA 2836 except for the use of some of its parts in my 2846. ETA 2836 and A 2836 beat at 28800 while the gen beats at 21600. If you could get a good used 2846, preferably modified, that would be the best option. The second best choice would be the C07.111. I did not buy a C07.111 because it is very expensive and allegedly not very stable. I have access to a lot of used C07.111 from RADO and other brands like tissot, but I think they are pretty much overpriced.

ETA 2836, A 2836 and ETA 2846 are not expensive at all and the spare parts are just everywhere. C07.111 or powermatic 80 are expensive and its parts are just rare to find.

Your choice.

So I finally got full QC, and after "the mistake" with the previous movement.
I'd like your opinion on this.
Thanks

Thanks, this is super helpful. Can I be a little more specific if you don't mind. Here are the choices that I have:
MOVEMENT 1: Nickel Plated Swiss ETA 2846-2 Automatic, 21600bph with Decorated Rotor like Caliber AP3120
MOVEMENT 2: Nickel Plated Swiss ETA 2836-2 Automatic, 28800bph with Decorated Rotor like Caliber AP3120
MOVEMENT 3: Asian 2836 automatic movement at 28800vph

So you would recommend going for movement #1? What if only #3 is in stock, is it an OK movement in terms of reliability and parts?

I recommend getting either one that you like. All of them are good and stable, the 2846 may require a service in 1-2 years but is more genlike than the other 2.

My 2846 version has just arrived. Quick check and she looks beautiful! Correct date wheel and lovely low beat action.
