Geez, so many issues. Mine had loud rotor noise and I got my watchsmith to lubricate, noise level went down about 50%. Apart from that, everything else was ok. I hope you can get yours fixed soon. Its a nice looking watch.
How is the overall feel on the watch? Is it solid and has a good quality?

I tried the gen at AD and its a very beautiful watch and it felt solid. Dont know how the JJF feels. Maybe some JJF owners can chime in

The feel of the watch is very close to gen, solid feel and quality. The fit is just fantastic due to the curved lugs. One reason why I sold away my AP Diver.

The photos on the web, even AD websites are processed. You need to compare with a non-edited pic, which is best taken with your own camera or iphone.

When I was at the AD, I saw the gen and snapped a pic linked above. The blue is deep tone and darker, unlike the rep which is lighter shade and brighter so to speak. But yet again, maybe it's best you go AD and compare yourself.

yea my noise when down after getting it back from Strodda but it still bugs me so I have decided to sell the watch at my lost. I really like the watch too just can't stand the noise when winding it up or when the rotor moves.

I have several APs running miyota, and they are rather noisy, too. Any of you also own other noisy miyotas used in AP? I wonder how louder this is than those.

I've own both the AP miyota's and this. My v1 15400 is not too noisy but my v2 damn loud OOTB. Even on the winder when it spins, you can hear "cho cho cho cho cho cho" LMAO...

This one makes a slightly different sound. It's more like loose ball-bearings shaking within. But after sending to the watchsmith for lubrication, the sound is reduced significantly. Unless the room is totally silent, you won't really hear it.

You can silence the rotor yourself with some moebius oil, lots of guides online

Been there, done that. Not for this movement, moebius oil doesn't work. I tried and it's still noisy.

I think you have to use the thicker ones like d5. Barring that, you could go for silicon grease or bearing grease but those are much more likely to travel into the gears

There is no way to swap a Miyota for a Swiss eta ?
