BTF and Clean Panda daytona upgraded!!!

Unfortunately many members also said that the Clean’s dial had blue reflections while the problem was the crystal and not the dial. Photos often deceive. In any case, you can compare it with gen and so you will take away a lot of doubts

What I see from this comparison is:

– Case shape is very sharp on gen, more soft on CF, especially on lugs
– CF's dial looks a bit darker, but could be the crystal
– Fonts are just a little bigger on CF
– Red Daytona printing is different in terms of color and position
– Crown is a bit more extruded on CF, slimmer on gen
– Pushers looks bigger on CF, a bit different from gen
– CF's bezel insert engravings looks bolder than gen

Of course also bracelet brushing is a bit different, more rough on CF, but it's like this almost in every rep.

I'm still not convinced about V2 dial, looks like that V1 dial was better in sharpness, but Daytona printing looks better on V2 dial, even if it's still not perfect. We understood that the blue hue was coming from the crystal, which appears darker now on V2, assuming that the dark halo comes from it.

Any other input from this comparison?

Thanks for the comparison pics! IMO we are grasping at "tells" when the watch is on the wrist at this stage, given the tolerances and variations that the gen has as well.

I agree, the crystal probably cause the dial to be a bit darker. Fonts look fine to me, and the shade of the red "DAYTONA" looks good enough too, well at least better than bright red / orange that we had.

These are all 'visible' when we put 2 watch side by side. Almost all of it would be impossible to spot alone, especially on the wrist i reckon. Reps have come a long way..

This statement is 100% correct. It's been something discussed here for years. Yet we have the "expert eye" guys who make a hobby out of analyzing every watch through an electron microscope. It's always fascinated me because my guess is that these people are insecure about what they wear.

Exactly. This is very true. The first reps of the 116520 with the A7750 replicated, for example, the models of those years. Subdials were different from Clean because Clean replicates the last Daytonas 116520 (those that had CD as subdials).

Yes. with this lighting ... when I put the CF next to the gen do a friend of mine sold it the following day. But that's just my impression. I don't want to ruin the dream of someone who is waiting or already owns the CF. It is still a nice watch!
