You can't be on about the 671 or the 382 then because at 15 it's the date window and at 45 it's the sub second dial!

Oh yes the bezel itself. It might have been off one click from 12 o'clock
centre. That would make them all look out! [emoji106]

Ordered my first rep. Is there a limit on how many QC watches you can turn down? The first two sent to me the 15,30, 45 markers were not straight and I hope this isn't a reoccurring thing. I see the watches in this thread seem to be close to straight. I hate to be too annoying and picky but I know it will bug the crap out of me.

This is a commom issue in some submersibles models.
I guess there's not a limit on rejection, as long as you can see it and not use a loupe for it.

Okay I appreciate the reply. The first watch, the 15 and 45 were noticeably off and the second the 30 was even more crooked. The bezel seemed to be aligned at the top too.

I rejected the first QC pics of my 508 back in 2015 because of the same problem.
I guess this is the main issue regarding those subs, hopefully they will get a nice one for you and you will send us some nice pics when you receive it, LOL

I´m still waiting for my hands being plated with rose gold. left my bronzo outside for 10 days without movement inside. it´s getting a darn amazing patina will post pictures as soon everything is put back together.

The hads were damaged?
You will also have them relumed, right?!

I rejected 2 QC sets on my 382 because of crooked 15-30-45 markers on bezel and the 3rd set of pics had the 15 ever so slightly off so I just accepted it ...truth be told after a day or so I didn't even notice it.
One of the numbers being slightly off is acceptable to me but not 2 or 3. I have seen pics of gens that one of the markers was slightly kilter .

Nah i wanted to relume them myself, scratched them and then polished them. Of cause I polished the gold off *facepalm* . So now they are plated/galvanized again, then I relume them. Should be ready by Saturday.

Here are the pics after 10 days since last cleaning. Then i cleaned with Peek and waxed again. I did take more care applying the wax.

What is the purpose of waxing ?????? Never heard of this and I've been on here for over two years.

Has anyone noticed the Crystal is wrong on the 671? It should have zero distortion at any angle like the gen. these factories have cut corners and used the 382 case and just swapped movements and dial. ????????????????????????

This watch is a prototype model, as stated in the video (jump to 5:55 to hear it).
I think the crystal of the final product will be the same as the 382, 508, 616.
XF made the 671 with a thinner case and lugs, not the same as on 382.

I have no doubt regarding the case and the lugs, and for the crystal, only when they start the delivery of the real watch we will be sure.

to slow down the patina. it only slows it a little bit,

If you wax or use something else to seal the bronze, it will avoid or prevent the patina to develop.

I was watching it with no sound due to wife watching a movie. I didn't catch the prototype comment. that being said i still don't think they will go with the distorted crystal. makes zero sense to do so since the latest subs have not had this. Maybe i am wrong, but nevertheless i am in the process of ordering one. my TD takes forever to respond to emails and only comments on one part of my email to him so its a lot of repeat communication. lol thanks for the input. cheers

I was also watching with no sound, and when I raised just a little he volume I heard this, LOL.
Panerai always used both crystals for their subs, I don't know why some models use the one with zero distortion and why some use the one with distortion.
The Pam616 is newer than Pam569 (no distortion) and it uses a distorted crystal.

The crystal with no distortion is more beautiful (imo) but I hope Panerai uses the distorted one for the 671, so our reps can be really 1:1.

Looks to be a bit over rotated clockwise.
