You just put the o ring in give it a full twist and that gives it a nice coating all way round. The sponges in the tub are soaked with silicone grease!

How often do you do that to your watches?
Do you intentionally wear them in water for long times like fella?
I know it's only a 2 min job & it's definitely worth doing regardless

No worries been there myself. That's the fun of this hobby. Learned plenty on the way. I Still have much to learn. Built my first watch not to long ago. Working on the parts for my second at the moment.

Just do it when I 1st get them, that's it. It's just a precaution just in case say like you forget and get in shower or start washing pots with your watch on lol. Also with the solid back models it's like checking you've got the actual movement and correct watch you ordered too. You never know do you. I read threads here where they've got watches with a different movement than what was advertised. Say like you got a version 1 instead of a version 2 you ordered!

I get where your coming from fella
It's a really good idea to check the movements cos like you said you don't know with the solid casebacks
Doing deals is like getting work done off roofers......I can't see what they are doing so I don't bloody trust em.......ha ha ha

Yeah, it was only the other day I read it. I think it was a Pam sub with solid back like most of them have. Anyway he ordered the one with a7750 movement but when it came it was the seagull 23j version, quite abit cheaper. Plus it's funny how he also said that there was no timographer QC pic which show bph. I said funny how he missed that pic off because 23j version is 21,600 bph which is a instant tel on the movement as a7750 is 28,00 bph. Dam right con with TD in my eyes.

Aye the sneaky sods,
No way would they miss the timeographer pics unless there was a reason
It's definitely a sure fire way of Verifying the movement with the beat rate,at least I think that's what it's called.....I'm still learning the lingo
So did the guy get the money back or watch swapped?

Cool, did you start with an easy movement like the 6497?
I've read into it so that's the first movement I'm going to start on,just waiting for my tools/materials etc to arrive[emoji6]

I am reporting back as to how long my Peek cleaning and wax job lasted. 10 days. Today I cleaned with Peek and waxed it again. I also added a new bronze buckle that is very close in color to the same bronze as the watch. While not like the gen I like the bronze buckle better than the stainless.
If shipping is reasonable I'll take care of it. No charge.
