Those are the two I am debating on as well. But leaning more on the blue dial.

Thanks for the strap pics takashi! :) (the rep strap does look awfully close)

I'm loving the blue dial and I like the leather strap option.

What strap color do you guys think for the blue dial...black or brown?

This is Fantastic!

I have a gen yellow dial Superocean.......and I'm more excited about this rep! In all the years I have always wanted to find an honest to God water resistant rep and I guess this is it...and to be so very close to the gen is great. I was about to start my Panerai experiance but hey this is just way to cool. :D

I'm not a lover of Breitlings usually as their too blingy for me but this looks really nice especially with the blue dial , I dont like the bracelet so I'd be happy with a strapped one.
I'm not too worried about the quality of the rep strap cos I'd buy a gen anyway , but how close is this watch compared to the gen. I would definetly consider myself a noob when it comes to Breits, so help me guys ,I normally only look at a rep if its close.

I'm not a Breitling expert by any means, so I too would like someone 'in the know' to chime in if there are any noticable inaccuracies with this rep...

This happens everytime...

This happens every time a new rep comes out: in all the excitement, nobody seems to be examining the soecs or the accuracy very closely until many of us bought the watch then OOOPS a review or a post comes out pointing out the flaws then, a bit later, some of the watches appear in the For Sale section, from people disillusioned or disappointed with the watch.

So I will ask some questions:

Is the bezel nice and tight?

Is the AR strong enough to withstand some splashing or washing of the watch?

Is the bracelet of great high quality? Will some screws be ceased and unscrewable?

Is the date wheel well aligned?

How is the crown? Nice, thick and smooth? Will winding manually be smooth and problem free?

Just asking before dropping $395 Canadian.

I gotta a decision to make here you see: spend $400 CND on a new rep or take up the offer from a Canadian fellow to buy a gen Tag Heuer Link for $600 CND???

I mean the Superocean is for sure looking good in the photos///

My suggestion is; go and get the blue dial... with SS bracelet. Go and sell that bracelet and get the genuine Breitling rubber strap which costs 80 USD complete with buckle.

Yes, yes and yes... Also blue dial with blue strap is a killer

Check on eBay... but not cheaper...

PT explained in another forum that watch is tested up to 10ATM but the maker guarantee 100ATM.

This watch could be a real break-through model. Having a rep that you can actually use for scuba is a mind-blower. And comparing the pictures of the gen to this model, the rep is dead on. I am not sure if I am willing to be the 1st on my block (Like Paneraifreak), but my finger is really itching for this one. However, I know I'm going to pull the trigger on his Pam 252 next month.

I am a little suspicious of the date font, but aside from that the watch looks very good. Just got hte Ultimate PO, or I would have jumped on this watch. Maybe in March.

The watch is beautiful. The hour markers are off though.

I also would question why the price is so high.

I will resist from buy from the first batch to wait for a good review after someone got the watch on hand and maybe the price will come down a bit.

OMG! what a piece!! kudos to angus for bring all these high quality reps to us..here're some photos of my gen x-plus..

P1160579.jpg

P1160565.jpg

P1100510.jpg

P1100617.jpg

P1100629.jpg

differences:

1-casework and bracelet on the gen is sharper
2-circular engraving on the dial is thinner and finer on the gen
3-bezel pearl on the gen is set deeper and looks smaller
4-the steel on the gen has a certain glow to it..
5-bracelet should be more angled..
6-crown shld not be sticking out
7-CGs on the gen almost touches the crown

all in all i'll say that it's an awesome rep..there are no major flaws, only minor details like finishing, materials and tolerance of parts' fit..
