Breitling Avenger Gmt GF vs Gen

White Dial Avenger GMT just showed up today. I took some pics today but have not had time to go through and upload any of them yet. I will post some pics next week...
Initial impressions are good. It is a very nice watch. Fits really well. Strap is super comfy. Crown is smooth. Lovely watch.
The size of this watch is great. A lot of breitlings are big, chunky and a bit too much bing for me. This one is just right on all counts. Good size, not too thick and not too flashy at all.
I think I'm going to like this one

Good to hear initial thoughts, mine is due to arrive in a couple of days.
My first breitling was the avenger seawolf which is a thick watch and has big wrist presence but the gmt is a subdued model with all the great finishing.

Agree, the rep nylon is absolutely rubbish, raised tang buckle was good though.Gen Breitling Nylon is the way to go

Ordered a blue one this week and asked Lucy to find out about the bracelet. She got back and confirmed GF are making it but it has been delayed as the GF boss wasn't happy with the initial version. Seems he's a bit of a perfectionist.

'I have sold many GF's breitling already,feel their QC are much better than other factories indeed,
I think I am very picky about it already,
for their watches,usually,I sell 10 of it,will find 2~3 have small problems,like date crooked,and crown color not good(I mean blackbird),
send it back,can change a new one soon on next day,
almost no watch have dust,and scratch,so really very good already,
for other factories's watches,sell 10 of them,almost 8~9 will have small problems,hehe,I am really picky about these things,
like one with Nylon strap,latest model from GF,forget the name of it,
GF feel that bezel is a little rough,so they rejected all of them,not just modify,
they remake new batch of whole bezel,
so for these things,I think they are a good factory indeed,
I have a very good relationship with their boss,seems a nice man indeed,

Pretty cool, it has a different date font than what GF usually uses, this one has serifs on its numbers.

I just looked through the pics that I posted. I noticed that the 3rd and 4th pics that I posted the white dial looks a bit more stark white than in the rest of the pics. This watch has a off white dial more like the rest of the pics that I took. I think the 1st pic I posted is pretty representative of what the dial actually looks like. It is difficult to get the exact coloring right in a pic. The off white/cream dial is a nice color, but if you are looking for pure white this watch isn't that.
yea, on the wrist you probably are not going to notice the seriff, but in a close up pic it is pretty obvious
Bezel rotates is both directions.

This is my first GMT watch so I am curious about the bezel as well. Obviously the GMT hand can be set for a 2nd time zone with the secondary markers on the dial. Is the idea of a rotating bezel a 3rd time zone?
Here are a few pics that show what I meant about this dial being more of a cream or off white color. 1st is the Breitling GMT that I would describe as a nice cream or off white, 2nd is of Seiko SARX019 that I would describe as slightly off white, the 3rd is of a Mitutoyo calipers dial that is the closest to white & 4th is all together with a little strip of white copy paper. All pics were taken with the same lighting set up and same camera settings and I would say that All are very representative of what the watches & calipers the look like in real life/lighting. With that said look closely at the 4th pic and you will see that the light is coming from the right hand side of the pic and just this little detail changes the way the white on the copy paper looks from right to left. Clearly the coloring on the copy paper is the same...
