New BPF 16600. FYI the center links are hallow, couldn't find that info before. There is the small circle on a link to press for diver's extension. The sides of the links are not polished... I can't find the clown at 6 on the crystal, not sure if that's correct. 30 is misaligned on bezel insert. Movement is quiet and smooth.

Would like to get in contact with someone like @tripdog to give the case/bracelet a once over and to have lugs drilled. Been having trouble getting in contact with modders via DM.
I managed to bend the bezel while removing it to install a better insert. I don't think it can be repaired. Anyone have an extra bezel laying around?

Also I think there's something wrong with this site because I can't see the DMs that people send me.

I bent one of mine before. If it's the older like-gen construction, you can swap it with a WSO bezel. If one of the newer style cases... someone might know an alternative.

im debating buying a gen bezel for my 16600 ordered from trusty. seems like it wont fit and I don't want to attempt modding that part. does anyone know if the phong 16660 case can accept a gen bezel?

No, a GEN bezel is not needed.

Fitted a gen insert on mine. Really makes it pop!
Strodda did that years ago for me to a brand new older 2836 BPSD with a brand new gen insert. Underwater tested and WP'ed to 5 ATM too.
I think he might have cracked the pearl a little during the process but you are right, it really does make it pop.
However a TC V6 16610LV replaced with a TC LN insert (the 16610LN Maxi Dial look) arrived before I got that BPSD back from Strodda and that BPSD somehow got forgotten never even made it onto my wrist.
I guess I should take it out of the plastic and finally wear it one of these days, like that plastic wrapped Polizia BPSD I have sitting next to it, LOL!

Bumping this thread up because until this day I'm still a big fan of this watch. I have a GEN 124060, 16600, and a BP beater 16600.

I am hands down more attached to BP as silly as it seems, mainly attributed to wearing it daily and not caring whether it gets aged, or damaged. The one thing that bothers me is the crystal and height, below is a picture. Top is GEN, bottom is BP.

Has anyone addressed this, and preferably with a crystal that has AR?

I have a 16660 T dial inbound from firstclassdial, it was in my ebay cart for months before I figured screw it, I need it in my life.

Was planning on transplanting it into my old matte 16600/16660 build but am curious if these BP are still available, if the crystal on the new ones is still sitting high, if the new ones still have a crappy bezel spring that isn't gen like, if the 3135 version still uses a spacer between date and dial to leave a gap and clearance for crown height position of the 3135? might be worth getting a new base watch.

It's been a while since reading this thread, might have to backtrack a hundred pages.

With gen open 6/9 and lug holes, might need some creamy hands.

I’m going to order a Mochacha dial for my 16600 to make a triple 6. I’ll get another to have as a normal 16600

I have a 2022 BP, and a 2005 GEN. The BP crystal has always sat a little higher. Does anyone have a solution or FIX? Top

is GEN, Bottom is BP.

Trying to replace the BP SD I had for years that got stolen. I notice there haven't been any listed in a while... any reason why?
Model not that popular and is outclassed by modern offerings, so only a few people buy them. Sorry but thats true with all 5 digits. While I like this model, spend $100-150 more and you can get a VSF Sub or VS Seadweller with more feature, quality, glidelock, lume, ceramic, etc
