F*ck! There goes my franken project... just bought everything gen for it

Wow the one on the right definitely doesn’t look like a BP case. Spring wire bezel retainer and and HEV looks different also.

I just compared pics of the regular 16600 with the italian police version, they seem different. Ordered the Police version now, let's wait and see...

Just received a BP 3135 from Toro.

Movement is very smooth in data and time change . Also the rotor silent I can’t hear it..

Only a doubt about case and escape valve is a new version?

Caseback have the word Rolex non centered but a little on the edge ..

So after reading through several pages of this thread it seems as if there have been a couple versions of the BP 16600 throughout the years. Is there a consensus as to what's going on today? Is there one version or several? Things are changing so fast in the rep world these days that it's hard to keep up!

Information needed:

I have BP V2 2836 from a few years back. Never wore really but the crown fell off. It still works without the crown cover. It looks like the crown cover just presses into it can be glued on the circle end there.

but does a Gen crown just go on or is there a need to also replace the tube? I am fine with the BP crown just figured I’d I was replacing it I would replace with upgrade.

Don't know about the 'new' version but here are little flaws that look strange coming from BP factory to me:

12 marker position seems low
HEV is pushed too far on the case, it should sit almost flush
Engraving on the caseback looks terrible indeed
SEL that we can see at 12 o'clock are far from what BP used to do

I was going to say, this doesn't look like BP to me.

Tks for feedback .
I think that only the case is different . The dial is like other BP last batch with the improved bracelet and wrong caseback.

Maybe the 16600 is really out of stock and they put together parts that still have on stock (dial hands etc)

I think you're right. They're probably using what they can now. I ordered one to take a look at it. From the QC pics it looks to be exactly the same as yours. I ordered from MR.
