Finally bit the bullet and bought a gen, which is the exact same serial my Frankenstein is based on, Y.

Thanks, realise i had a bit of a mare posting those pics! I thought I hadn't posted anything, stupid tapatalk!!!

Specs are BP classic with swiss enicar ETA, gen 703 crown, gen bezel & flat 4 insert, gen spring bars, TC hands, dial and bracelet, BK DWO.
Modified by PBDad before i aquired it - drilled lugs, case tap for gen spec tube, re-shaped crown guards, refinished case.
Recently serviced by Adrian who fitted the new crown
It's also waterproof to 4 atm

It's been a solid daily beater for 5 years, i've literally never taken it off.
I've always wanted a gen despite the effort and money I have put into the fraken. I've spent hours perfecting the bracelet and case, over sanding parts and buying new again (and again!)
With gen prices going up and up I thought it's now or never.

Ordered a crown tube from WSO and thought for some reason the crown would come with it. Emailed WSO to see if they do the crown and they said they didn’t sell crowns. Does anyone know where to scourge a decent aftermarket crown from? Cheers

So, the new million dollar question.

In absence of a TC bracelet, what are ya'll using to replace the stock bracelet? I can't wear mine. I hate how the middle of the SEL has some weird overhang.

I have a BP Sub bracelet that fits way better than the current BP SD stock but it takes 1.9 (?) mm thick springbars. The springbars I have do not fit into the lug holes of the BP since the springbar ends are thicker than the lug hole. So, without thick springbars, it makes a nice gap.

I'm trying to find some thicker springbars but if that doesn't work, I was thinking of getting a non SEL bracelet.

Also the damned Diver Extension won't stay shut.

mine finally arrived today and its pretty damn good. Biggest flaws for me are the green hands and the font is too fat on the bezel - might change these one day.

I dont mind the bracelet so much but seems it to be a different colour steel to the watch case, or maybe its just the brushed finish? The clasp is very noisy though, do we have any suggestions to swap or improve it?

Just for your information - it sold really fast, and also the actual quality of the bracelet was superb. I only sold it because I got rid of all my 5 digits... It fit my submariners, my gmt, etc etc.

It probably could but $229 is waaay too out out of budget. I can get a WSO one for a third of the money.
