Impressive stats to say the least! Lug holes and tritium dial really take it to the next level imo.

Hi all, long time lurker of the forum which convinced me to buy a BP SD months ago from this thread. I have been wearing it daily and love it. Very nice replacement for the gen I once had.

I noticed the other day the bezel was rotating both ways. I popped it off, cleaned and assembled. Now it is extra tight. I noticed the click spring is very long. Is it acceptable to shorten it?

I shortened mine, but it has lost its "springiness", so I just ordered a replacement from WSO on eBay.

Mine arrived last night...
I'm loving it so far except for the bracelet. The divers extension won't stay locked in place(I might be able to bend the link to get it to catch tighter)
The bigger problem with the bracelet is the on the other end of the clasp where it closes. There is not enough space between the first link and the clasp when it's closed which makes the first link stick out straight.
Not sure if you can see in this pic? Anything that can be done about this?

This is very common and has been written about many times . I'm not aware of a solution. In the past the solution was $39 for a tc bracelet.

Anyone wants to upgrade to a new DSSD and has an older one they want to move, I've got a request in the M2M section. I hope alluding to this here is not against the rules, but it feels like there are a lot of tumbleweeds rolling around the M2M WTB section.

Oops. Yikes. Dumb on my part. That's what lack of sleep will do to you. After seeing this thread, in my fugue state I was broadening my horizons beyond just the DSSD I was seeking and to all Sea Dwellers, like the BP. My bad!

Very easy solution for the clasp catching. Mine is due here on Friday so I will try to give you a quick tutorial to fix on mine. Diver extension as well.

Hopefully mine will have the same flaw so I can share the fix.

Is greasing the seals enough to get it to be waterproof?

I am trying to figure this out as well.
From what I gather you have to epoxy the HE valve on the side but I am just not sure how, from inside or outside.
I am still trying to read through this entire tread to see what are the minimal mods required to make it superb as it is excellent out of box.

You're going to want to apply that epoxy on the inside. I think there was a thread on doing so in the tech thread.

I actually don't think the epoxy is a must. My SD4k passed 3bar no problem without epoxy

I was always under the impression that the HE valve was faux. I never had any issues swimming with the SD after greasing seals.
