I don't have a BPSD and I read all if the posts in this thread.
I will answer one if your questions, if you want to change the crystal you will have to send the watch out to be modified by the BPSD master- Adrian. Pretty much most of the good mods for this watch you will have to send the watch out for. If you want a Sea Dweller like the ones you see here, you probably are going to have to send it out to be done for you. Word of caution, some of these builds cost $2000-$3000 and the parts are hard to find. This hobby requires patience. I suggest instead of wanting to jump right in to having a high level modded rep to read for a few months first or you will end up wasting a lot if money buying thing you didn't need or paying way to high of prices for things.

thank you!

My plan is to get a SD OTB and maybe change some parts in the future.

I read a lot in this threat and i get aware once you start modding you will maybe never stop......and i know its quite expensive and hard to get all the parts

I got the the opinion that the BP SD is good from stock but of course there are same(or even a lot) flaws......

One visible flaw for me ( im a beginner !) are the bezel tooth and the SEL - so thats one of my questions: is it possible to fix this without buying a new bezel or to buy a tc bracelet( seems quite hard to get one)

I like this watch and would be happy about some support....

One NOOB question: does BP Sea-dweller (16660) bezel fits JF 16610 LN? I am new to mods sorry again if I am asking something silly!
I am also an owner of a BP SD!

If I was building one I would buy the BP SA3135, send it to Adrian and have him do the crystal mod and gen spec tube and Gen crown. Then I would put it on a rubber bracelet until I could get the bracelet sel to fit good either by finding a TC bracelet or whatever else would work. The crystal mod and gen spec tube would be my first steps. I also only get 3135 movements because I like the Gen time a date setting. Just my 2 cents

Sounds good- i thought that the 2836 is setting the date fast as gen? Only the 2824 is setting the date slowly?

You guys know I'm a pretty nice guy but saying "I've read a lot but still have a few questions" followed by a half dozen question which are all answered with a 1 hour or so of reading this thread doesn't fly with me.

I mean one of the most exciting mods you can do on this watch, which has its own thread nonetheless, is adrian crystal mod. But he didn't even read about it, it must be mentioned 1000 times here.

I know, that is why I was suggesting it. Now he will (hopefully) go read about it. I won't spoon feed anyone, but I will point them in the right direction. So many of you guys hVe pointed me in the right direction that is how I learned the little that I know.
I know the frustration of reading a lot and not understanding "the language" we use, not the English but the short hand language. Then after tons of reading it sort if just clicks. Now what a person does after being pointed in the right direction is up to them. They can take that information and start researching it more or not. If they don't do TONS more reading the only thing that will happen is they will spend lots of money and end up with an incomplete watch. You can lead a donkey to water but you can't make him drink [emoji16]

ok thought so...

im a beginner in reps better said a NOOB and i know this.

Its great that there a people which are genius and are able to get all the information within 1 hour

But thats not me:02.47-tranquillity: and i think everybody here in this forum started sometimes with asking to get more knowledge

So i asked some questions in a very polite way as i think.....

Sorry if these questions are silly for you - I've been reading here for more than one hour - but there are still some questions for me.

I didn't ask something like "whats the best sub or seadweller" i had same specific questions about the SEL or movement and therefore i was asking for some support.....

Just so you know an hour isn't that long. When I was first here I problem spent at lease 50 hours before asking anything, and even after reading for 50 hours I still knew nothing.
The amount of research you have to put in is staggering. But remember- this is a hobby. That being said we all like to read about the things everyone else does, both their successes and their mistakes (for me it is mostly mistakes that I make and cost me a lot of money).
But there is NO quick answer for any questions because it is subjective. This post for example, I would Never buy any Rolex rep watch that would not accept a 3135 movement, but all these beautiful watches you see, none have a 3135. They are GREAT watches but I only like 3135 ones. So the answer you will get from me is buy the BPSD 3135, but other people have different answers. Does this mean I am right- absolutely not, these guys know way more than me! I just only like Reps that function like the Gen. So anyone that ever asks (including when I ask what is the best) tend to not get answers or tore up. The only reason I am explaining this is because all these guys have explained this in the past, so as they all have helped me so much I am now taking the time to write all this out. In the future if you decide to stay active here, it will be your turn to explain this to people when they are asking the same questions you are now. I do not know nearly 1/1000 what all these guys do, so the only 2 things I can contribute is my stories when I buy a watch to see if it is good or not and report back (usually that the watch sucks and don't buy it because it is a waste of money) and also pass on the information that the have posted before- including what I am telling you now. I can't wait until it is someone else's turn to do this [emoji16] but I haven't even been here for a year and feel that I have not contributed enough yet to sit back.
As a couple of side notes, I have OVER 300 hours of reading on here and I am still a beginner and unfortunately still annoy the top guys on here with bad questions, they are just very kind and tolerate me. Every time a venture into a new section eg. IWC, AP, Breitling I am a beginner and the guys in those sections aren't to happy with me. I can only try and do what I can to show them I do the research and put the work in bit I am a slow learner. But every time you go in a new section or another board, you have to start over. That is part of this hobby.
For the people that read my long boring speech and think "that is crazy, I am not going to spend 300 hours reading, I just want a quick answer" I will be EXTREMELY nice and tell you who makes the best Rolex Sea Dwellers and Subs, It is Rolex. If you want a good watch it will cost you either a lot of money or a decent amount of money and a lot of time, otherwise just settle on something that is just ok. I was inpatient at first too, that is how I ended up buying a bunch of Gens!

You were very polite and continue to be, an admiral quality. Every question you asked is listed in this thread, you don't need to read the whole thing, maybe start from 2015 -2016 posts. Clearly you are an intelligent person and your english language is fine. I might have under exaggerated by saying one hour, probably more like two or three. As was mentioned by fastpaced none of your questions are simple and we can't answer them for you if we don't know what you want to do with this watch and how much you are will to spend.

----------------------

what movement should i choose? 2836?
DEPENDS WHAT YOU WANT TO DO WITH THE WATCH, LEAVE IT STOCK OR MOD IT. YOU MENTIONED TC HANDS, THEY WON'T BE A DIRECT SWAP ONTO THE BP MOVEMENT, WHICH ALTHOUGH IS ADVERTISED AS A 2836 IS ACTUALLY A 2824

Sead told me that the SEL is bad - the only way to fix this is a tc bracelet?
PRETTY MUCH, THE BP BRACELET HAS A SEL HUMP ANYWAYS

Further (budget)mods could be:

gen crown?
DOESN'T FIT WITHOUT GEN SPEC TUBE. TUBE DIESNT FIT WITHOUT MODDING THE CASE

tc hands?
WON'T FIT ON THE CLONE 2824 IN THE BP WITHOUT CHANGING THE WHEELS OR SOMETHING (I'M NOT A WATCHSMITH SO I ONLY HAVE A LAYMAN'S UNDERSTANDING)

the stock crystal is ok, is a clarks a big improvement?
USUALLY WSO OR JANDK BUT THEIR QUALITY VARIES BY BATCH. WON'T FIT ON THE CASE WITHOUT EXTENSIVE MODDING

is it possible to polish the bezel teeth for a more shining and gen look?
DEPENDS WHAT YOU MEAN. IT'S NOT POSSIBLE TO MAKE THE SCALLOPS DEEPER WITHOUT EACH ONE VARYING IN DEPTH AND WIDTH. IF YOU WANT TO IMPROVE THE BEZEL YOU MUST INSTALL A GENUINE ONE. THAT CAN'T BE DONE WITHOUT EXTENSIVE MODDING.
