Thanks, that is a big help! I like the case (crown lugs) of the new one, the the bezel is just to busy with all those markings. I started researching different ones. From what I read the Z serial number ones were the last ones before the current one. Trying to find a picture of one of these.

After days of reading and reading again that gorgeous thread ... I have had some sort of "visitation" ... or what one would call an "epiphany".
So ... considering the followings facts :
1 - I really need a Sea-Dweller now
2 - 2017 is the 50th anniversary of that beauty
3 - DRSD really deserves an hommage
4 - Rolex often "goes to green" for the 50th
5 - I prefer drilled lugs than plain lugs
6 - I love "transitionnal" watches
7 - I'm not "anal" about my watches being genlike or not
I'm glad and honored to introduce you to my already beloved but still to build fantasy watch ...

I'm still hesitating if I'll go "SWISS MADE" or "SWISS - T< 25" and other details have to be specified but that watch must be on my wrist next summer :hehehe:

I'd go for double red 16600. Not sure about that green.

My Bezel click still hasn't been fixed. It doesn't have the clear clicks like gen. It sound more dull and not crisp.

What do you think about this one ?
It's a cheapie (118$) but the overall shape seems to be pretty good and it's supposed to come without any engravement.
I'm plan to use it as a base watch to build my fantasy 16660 DGSD D-Green project.
The work I plan to do (myself) is quite simple, though some parts wont be easy :
1 - drill the lugs and the SELS for 2mm bars (tricky but feasible)
2 - rework the crown guards (little work to do so ... easy)
3 - engrave the inside caseback (tricky but feasible)
4 - mod the dial (easy)
5 - enjoy
Optionnal :
6 - engrave the case between the lugs (I really wonder if I can do that ... I'll probably give a try)
7 - replace the crown tube and crown (or rework the crown but I dont think it's feasible)
