I personally wouldn't pay the extra.

I picked up my BPSD with A2813 for $160 and had an ETA2836 installed for $185 so for the same price as the A3135 I have pretty much the same watch but with the accuracy and reliability of the Gen ETA.

I guess if you plan to mod with Gen Dial and Hand set it may be a good buy but to be honest the BP Dial and Hands are very good and the TC are even better.

Thanks. But other than the movement, any take on how it compares to the 2824 model in terms of case, dial, crown position, crown guard and sel etc..?

Everything will be the same, Just because a watch has a different movement that doesn't mean they change anything. only if they have to will they change something and my experience with BP factory is externally they make a great watch, internally its junk. If they have to change hands to fit the A3135 they will.

What's your expert opinion on this Genuine HEV?

Have you ever fitted one?

I'm assuming the one on the BP case is faux? Can it be removed?

Would it be as simple as tapping the case and screwing it on?

No I have never fitted one, the BP is a faux HEV, it may not be a easy task as the hole the BP HEV sits in is "blind", it does not go all the way through the case.

Best bet is machine the existing out and see from there, but its not been done before so its possible to end up with a scrap case. Lets face it who dives deep enough to even think about helium build up.

The one thing I can say is some of the BP HEV are not set deep enough in the case, and believe me you cant press these in any deeper.

Yeah pretty much what I expected, I'm scared of sharks so it was only for cosmetic reasons.

The coating is patchy on mine and I think the HEV is one of the few tells albeit only slightly.

If you'd have told me that you've done it before and it's just a case of unscrewing the stock and screwing in the Gen I'd have been tempted to waste $400.

Is the BPSD Click Spring supposed to be one meter long? [emoji23]

I shortened the clickspring and surprise surprise, now the bezel is not loose and it does click now!

I'll fix this watch up, add an ETA, GEN Crown, Tube and Insert [emoji4]

Then it will rock!
