So I ordered a sd4k noob 2 after reading good reviews and wanting to get another Rolex. I was thinking about the blue dssd but decided to go for the sd4k and I'm glad I did I prefer its size, not as heavy or chunky but with some good wrist precence and OTB the noob v2 is great.

I then found this thread which after 300 pages I thought I've got to get myself one of them.

Had a QC issue with Chazing time but eventually said Yes. I'm waiting and checking the tracking website daily as I usually do. I receive the watch today wind the watch the second hand moves for a few seconds and stops. What are the chances. Can't get the movement to keep going. I won't send it back as the plan is to mod it and get Adrian to put in a gen 2836 but what a shame I can't even wear it to get used to it.

I've already got a gen insert for it. I need a 703 or 704 crown.

The bracelet I think the TC LV I have bracelet is better so I will order a v6 bracelet along with V3 hands, v4 dwo

Is the TC dial much better?

I may also get the crystal mod is it worth it though?

Thanks again for the help

Yes I know I brought both watches if you read what I said.
Congrats! Don't forget you'll need a gen tube or a wso tube for your gen crown.

I wouldn't say the tc dial is significantly better. I notice the dial printing is a little whiter. The lume surrounds are a little bolder. The crown is a little different. But I don't know which to say is more correct. The lume to my eyes is the same strength and long lasting on both. I know several members choose not to change to the tc dial because they are so similar. Other members do change to tc dial, maybe just to keep both dial and hands Tc? What I can say is that the bp dial rend to have crators in the lume, if yours does I would absolutely change to tc dial.

Regarding the crystal, I think the general consensus is that the stock bp crystal is a touch too tall. Certainly the chamfered edge is not per gen and the quality will not be on par with a swiss gen spec or rolex crystal. @Thrasher and others can comment on the quality of a wso crystal compared to the bp crystal. Of course the best is rolex. So if you want to improve the quality of your crystal or lower it that is the only way. Ado will also tell you that his mod will likely improve water resistance at the crystal. I think he'd tested them after his mod to 100m.

I think you are on the right path, I would go with all the TC parts you have listed plus the gen crown on a wso tube and gen insert. 16600 insert right? get the TC dial to stay consistent. Also I try to buy my genuine parts off Rolex Forum new in package that way you are sure your getting genuine untouched/undamaged/authentic.

For Adrians crystal mod its totally worth it and I would use a genuine crystal or a RNRPROF 2XAR crystal but you can also go with a wso crystal.

If your getting a new 2836 then you will want to change dial to TC as your watch has a 2824 with spacer behind dial. Make sure your you get the H4 kit for correct hand height.

Adrian is very busy so you may have to wait a month but dont use Zocker 4711 he is a con artist and I wasted 5 months with him and got nothing accomplished, he is good sometimes but other times he is complete failure plus he sends all his work out and does nothing himself..

That's right. My modder tell me that the TC V3 hands doesn't fit on stock "BP" A2824 (too low)

He tell me that he needed to replace all three central wheels of the hands with a different height to can fit TC V3 hands correctly on stock SD BP movement

So guys pay attention on what you will buy :)

Sorry Thrasher, I don't mean to offend but what you are doing here is just personal revenge because you were disappointed in Zocker.

You may have been angry at him and for sure you have your reasons. But you should at least stay with the truth and not start accusations like this out of frustration. That's unfair and inappropriate.

I know Zocker personally because I'm living close to him. He does NOT send all his work out. He serviced / relumed / modded some of my watches in front of my eyes in his workshop. For some special mods that require special machinery he has partners he cooperates with and then he send work out to them. I believe that is what you are referring to.

He's an outstanding good watch smith according to my experience. And he is a RWI watch smith for a reason. Zocker does all my watches and I never had reason to complain. Although he surely makes as many mistakes as all of us and all watchmakers do.

So let's stay fair. You may have a different opinion and I respect that. But let's stay with the facts.

No offense, mate. Just wanted to compete the picture.

Thanks in advance

Only comments I have to add to this-

1.Stock BPSD dial is a crapshoot. The one @Timmetje83 sent me had no craters. Perfect. A little dusty. Haha!! Easily cleaned.
HOWEVER-I have seen two garbage TC dials. Better chance/odds of a good one though.
2.My BPSD with TC crown and tube-All other seals stock-passed 5atm from @Ko67.

Good luck.

If you say so, Then I stand corrected and apologize. I have respect for you and Timmetje83. I really should let the Zocker thing go but he pissed me off and I believe he has lied to me and others. There are other German members who have had bad experiences with him on another forum, I believe he was even removed from a German forum for misrepresentation. Its very hard for me to let this go as I feel I was treated very poorly and dishonestly. But I'm sure with time I will get over it.

Damn then does he offer the V7 bracelet? He probably will eventually, put a note at the bottom of your signature for what you WANT TO BUY WTB:
I asked a few months back actually and he replied saying all the bracelets were matched.

I hope he offers v7 soon I'm keeping my fingers crossed for it!
