Yeah V2, TC updated shortly after my build was complete and Adrian advised that the cost and risk involved in changing them probably outweighed the visual improvement which I completely get.

I'm short sighted anyway and cannot see the cannon pinion without a loupe.

I'm excited for you, I stand by the fact that when these are modded with TC and Gen parts they look better than a lot of the older Gens.

Just get the best swiss 2836 or 2824 and never think about it again, really this is a complicated question do you have it modded at all are you going to put tc parts on it in the future , if you like it bone stock just get another asian movement if your in california i recommend @yodog he is doing all my work from now on.

You'll want a 2836 not 2824, although 2824 works too

I dunno, I'm not expert. I just know that 2824 has a bigger space between the date and the dial so it's harder to get the date aligned properly. 2836 is ideal. I learned this from @Raddave and I know that ado213 recommends the 2836. Also your 2836 should have the h4 cp .

2836 it's a day / date movement, 2824 only date. The date change mechanism is different from 2824.

The 2836 change dates at exactly midnight, the 2824 begins before midnight. However, the 2836 is better.

But it has the stock dial? Then it could have a 2824 or 2836 how old is it? if its in the last two years it may have a 2824. You could get a TC Dial and V3 hand set, the 16610 and 16600 hands are the same but you know this because you have V2 hands. Have you considered having Adrian do his genuine crystal mod, that way you can use any crystal, genuine, wso, Steves 2XAR.
