Just stock, Adrian's view is there are so many variations in Gen crown guards he leaves them unless you have a specific size/shape you require than he will work from a photo.

I agree with this. I looked at ALOT of photos after I got mine. Stock exists in the wild. Unless you were going for an overpolished/heavy use case, I would not touch them.

Yeah if you like the look go for it, lots of Gens would return from the RSC with new inserts.

is that the only thing to worry about with drilled lugs on an sd? just the flat four insert? would the dial, hands and such still be period correct? I know it doesn't really matter because as you said after a couple of services it could have different everything

I just used 'cleaned water' I bought at the chemists store and a cotton bud for the surface of the dial. As the markers should have contact with water I just rubbed the rims with a toothpick. That's all

But as the rims are still poor compared with the rims of the TC KH dial, I will switch them nevertheless.

Is there a newer version of the TC sea dweller dial? Surely he has upgraded the dial to the same spec as his KH dial which is stunning.

If i remember correctly this sd has TC SD dial with KH index dial swapped

I remember someone replacing the indexes but not me, this is just TC dial and hands.

TC has done a good job, the lume matches the insert perfectly in colour, brightness and longevity.

Yeah V2, TC updated shortly after my build was complete and Adrian advised that the cost and risk involved in changing them probably outweighed the visual improvement which I completely get.

I'm short sighted anyway and cannot see the cannon pinion without a loupe.

I had to replace the indexes, because the rims were corroded
