Well folks I found my way back to the BPSD club.. Although fully stock I might just mod it eventually.. But I honestly think it's just fine otb.. I have a gen crown and stem but don't think I'll waste it on it.. The bracelet fits better now than the older stock BPSD so no need for the TC bracelet.. I guess I am not as picky as I used to be..

I bought this from another member and was stunned when I got at how solid it is.. I had the first version and it was great, but this I think they got right. SELs, cgs, and even crown are great. Seriously don't see the need to mod.. Maybe the lume on dial and hands are a shade too green and can see getting a TC replacement perhaps..

That looks awfull - lume, printing - are you sure you got this off TC ? - how did you contact him? what site/blog did you find this dial on?

Yes, I'm sure it is a TC dail. He said he had it sent from China to save me shipping costs.
The KH dail is way better he said. But that one is only available for the Submariner.

I have a picture from an other angle, looks a bit better. What do you think?

Well assuming that you bought it off TC, firstly if it came direct from China it means he did not QC it. I can't believe he would be happy selling that to his customers.
Your second pic is over exposed , it doesn't look like the same dial. In your first pic, the lume @ 12 is terrible, all of the indices seem to be overfilled to a lesser or greater extent, the indices @ 9 is very lumpy, the one at 6 is not much better.
Comparing it to a KH dial is not really the issue, the lume seems to be very badly applied - have you sent him the first pic?

Yes, I did sent him the first picture. I asked him if I needed to check the parts before sending it to my modder. He advised my to check them, so I did. This is what I emailed TC when I saw the crappy dail:

..."Thanks for your information. All parts seem ok, except for the dail.
It seems that the lume is not applied even over the markers. On your 16610LV this job is done much better. There is luminescent material over the edges of the markers and some bumps. I added a photo, so you can see what I mean."...

And this is what is received as reply:

..."This is the $50 old style TC dial, it's not the $250 KH dials. You are comparing two different level products."...

Well for $50 I don't suppose you can complain, and if you have a modder to do the work just get him to relume the dial. Shame that he doesn't seem bothered by the low level of finish on this dial - I saw those SD dials on his blog a couple of years ago - theY didn't look like that...

That's the point isn't it. It looks nothing like the dial advertise on his blog. I can tell you mine that I received a couple of months ago is almost perfect, it's beautiful. The bp dial is great, way better than what Dennis is showing. His bp dial is probably nicer than that

Well I had a quick look at TC's blog when I saw the lume application on this dial, couldn't find the SD dials so assumed he'd stopped selling them. Went back a little later and found them, price is $100 for dial and hand set, $75 for dial alone. $100 for dial & handset is Yuki prices, but even Yuki is much better than this...

I agree with MaronAcky that does not look like the advertised dial on tc's blog.

I bought his bracelet, crown, DWO and dail/handset. The set was $100, and the dail alone is advertised for $75, so I don't know why he mentioned the $50 "old style dail".

I also agree with MaronAckay that the dail I got is completely different from the pictures on his blog.

I received my BP 16600 today. I don't really like the crystal.
I found a couple of gens, but they are quite expensive.
Any other options? I've heard something about the Clarck crystal.

Do any of you have some experience with it?
