Ado makes a custom click spring. He says due to variation in the bpsd cases that's the best option. The wso click could work on some but not others

Its a new 2836 from O Frei that Adrian put the H4 pinions on but the trick is this movement that O Frei sold me was used...Yes used sold as new, It looked new but when Adrian saw and felt it he could tell it was used he tore it down and gave me a detailed report of all the evidence within, I'm going to make a Otto Frei sells used junk thread one of these days! Another time I bought two T19s from O Frei and they sent them in little paper envelops with no plastic over the plexi so they came with micro scratches... Adrian has told me that Cousins UK has sold used movements as new. So from now on I only buy from StarTime. Turbo350z

I actually have a feeling you're right. I recently bought a 6497 movement from Otto for a Pam build and it didn't look fresh. The plates were scratched a little and it was dry.

Do you have a link for startime? I wasn't able to find it. Thanks

If you look very closely with a 45 power scope like Adrian did you will see all kinds of scratches and gunk,

What kind of tool are you us using to open the case back? I have a set Rolex dies but they don't seem to fit. The 28.30 one is too small and the 29.50 I use for my TC sub is too big. I want to change the dial and grease the gaskets. So I need some thing that will tighten the case back as much as possible. Thanks

Does anyone know if the case back has been changed to to include "sea-dweller" on the back. Here is a picture of what I'm talking about.

My Rolex/Chinese/Made WSO case back opener opens it, I have a couple different sizes, not at home but I don't think they are marked, wad up a ball of duct tape with sticky side out, that will open it and close it very well.

I'll actually try to find one from WSO. I think I read somewhere that not all dies are made equally. Some of these Chinese made case opener sets don't have the proper sizes. I already tried the duct tape trick. Didn't work :(

I had to take a pic of a movement that was for sale while at my brothers place. I used a small rubber ball that I heated up a veery tiny bit just to get it tacky. It worked in a pinch

Make sure it's very low on air before you heat up the surface of the ball

I actually didn't take the bracelet completely off. Just took out a screw from the clasp to separate the bracelet. So I didn't have a good grip. I'll try it again

And when you go to put it back on be gentle and get it started by hand before you use a tool to tighten it up.
