Yes gen spec swiss made :) to install you need to have ado do his crystal mod so the case accepts gen spec crystal. It's not necessary but makes a nice difference in proper crystal height, better chamfer and better clarity. Here are some examples:

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and am very interested in picking up a sub or sd. I've read up on TC's and BK's sub offerings, and I'm not sure I want to spend that much yet. I then stumbled across this bp sd. It certainly seems like a good value, and a good starting point possibly. I started at the beginning of the thread, then went to the end and went backwards, but still haven't made it through everything. I'd be curious to know where it is recommended to buy one of these now. I'd like to try and make sure I get the latest version, with what is the best movement on a budget. I don't think I will ever modify anything, just want something respectable out of the box. I appreciate the input

Then this is the watch for you, I suggest the 2836/2824 movement from Sead at SuperMirrors @sead1999

TC is the best though, The ceramic NOOB 116610 SUB C V6S is the way to go for Ceramic probably $358 and probably out of stock for now.

this is the BP SD 16600 in stock form.

Hey bud. Yes this is a great starting point. Tc makes an amazing sub but it cost $600 and can take 3 months to build. BK takes the noob ceramic sub and makes sure the date is centered, bezel is nice and a swiss movement, but costs about $600 (I'm not exact on that price). No need to go fir either of those for your first rep. First of all make sure you do all your beginner reading, read all the stickies for rookies so you know how the rep game works. I suggest you research the bpsd, sd4000 noob v2, noob sub v6s, noob sub no date v2. These are all great reps for between $250 and $350.

Thanks for the input! I do like the blue lume on the newer subs. I'll look into the noob v6 as well. I hadn't looked into it much as I wasn't sure if the opinion was it was respectable or not.

Yeah just read up on all those models and decide if you like new ceramic versions or classic versions. If classic then you want a tc sub or a bpsd. If ceramic you want a sub v6s or sd4000 v2. Keep in mind they will likely be coming out with a newer version of the sub no date and ceramic sd soon. All these watches have tells out of the box, you have to decide which ones you are ok with.

Who do you guys recomend to put everything together if I order a BPSD and tc parts? Also is it better to order the cheaper 2813 movement and change it to the TC 2824?

You want to put a 2836 not a 2824. If you are planning to change the movement to a 2836 and change the dial, hands and dwo v4 from tc it makes perfect sense to order the cheaper version fir $60 less. If you order the bpsd with 2836 it will probably come with a 2824 anyway and need to be swapped. Ado213 in UK does all the best bpsd builds. He can tap your case for gen spec tube and crown, reshape crown guards, create custom click spring for better bezel and even mod the case to accept gen spec crystal.

Is there any customs issue shipping from CONUS to UK and back? It looks like 2813 is 90 cheaper from sead than 2824.

100% Great Advice, This is what I did, Adrian is the best choice he is super picky and very detail oriented.

Nothing to worry about. Its safe going into and out of England. Going into the European Union is a different story but there are two ways around that one is cheap and scary the other about 3 times more expensive but almost 99% safe. There are always risks in customs no matter what you do in any country.
