Even though its genuine I don't like it, Its a beauty dead on ...Like Benjjis dead on is a beauty. As far as the beveled lugs I really like them it just looks more finished.
Ok thank you. I think it was thrasher who suggested the #4 cannon pinions for the 2836-2 or maybe I misunderstood. Perhaps he can chime in.If you use gen eta 2836-2 you won't need #4 pinions at all. You only need these if you use a 2824-2 with the stock #2 pinions ( which most new 2824-2 come with)
Ideally I'd like to send it to one person to do all the work. To save on shipping but also I always get nervous shipping a watch. It sounds like a great plan to me, if you have read enough you know my opinion of the crystal and how it should be done. I would say Tagfan1 is your man but he is so busy with his real business he cant finish my watch or his and he has a genuine movement for his....So let me know who you find I was going to approach Johnny Lazzer but I dont know if he would do it, I would also get in touch with Adrian ADO213 for case and crystal work.... JMB might also be a possability and VAC is super clean but I just think he would do a great assembly but not case work, Tagfan1 can do great case work and bezel work and thats why I just wait!!!
Yeah but if it goes missing and it's not insured and you have $1000 into it that's going to hurt. Also if customs opens it and sees a "rolex" valued at $100 I'm sure that would be a red flag for them. What I did with my 1675 when it went to RA in France is just mail it the cheapest way possible. That is believable and what RA told me to do. I dont know how Tagfan sent my SeaDweller to England.
.
What is your thought on the h4 for the eta 2836-2?.ado seems to think it's not required
Good feedback , thanks! It's a plus if you're doing a DJ with stick or baton dials. On a SD it's not so critical although the H4 would probably be closer to gen I'm guessing. You still wouldn't be able to tell the difference without a loupe.
Does he also work on the bezel teeth?Ado can do casework like crown guard shaping and lug drilling too. I currently have a piece with him that we're working on (awaiting a final part to arrive with me). I have seen images of his work so far and I must say I am very impressed so far. V good communication and a pleasure to deal with - I recommend his services guys!

I have a question. If I'm going to install eta 2836 over the a2824 that came with my bpsd, do I need to replace the movement holder too?
Hope the expert can chime in.
