I’m sorry to hurt the feelings of some of you guys but this is exactly the same of 2836 version.
It has the same case, bezel, crystal, bracelet.

The watch need some works for sure if you compared the real one.

Fat lugs with wrong and large chamfer need to be fixed, also the CG’s need to be reshaped.

The bezel it’s pretty bad in the font and engravings of numbers.

At this point the negative “things” are the same also on Bi-Vintage, but this have better CG’s already from stock compared with BP.

Other than this BP has:
-Swiss made on the dial that is too attached to the 6 index and the font its the same of 2836 version
-the lume of the hands/dial is not “bright-white” but more “dirt white/yellow”, but the hands are not bad at all
-Mag of the date it’s really big at stock. You can fix it with a different low gasket
-The clasp reported the wrong sub 93250, lik all BP 5 digits

As i said before they only put the VR3186 hands of their 16710 and adapt the dial feet for this movement

There isn’t any kind of real upgrade compared with 2836 movenent, except the movement. But for the price can be a cool base/daily with few mods

Sure, you're totally right. But this is better than all the homages on ali in terms of overall wear ability compared to gen (they all have super fat cases) and unless you spend well over $1k on a build, scouring for gen dials and reshaping cases, you're not going to get any more accurate. A bivintage case alone costs more than this entire rep haha.

Would be interesting to know if you can pop a gen bezel on. Sometimes you can find them cheap. I think yes? That would be a big improvement. After that you need a dial or mid case and that's $$$$

I’ll find out this week hopefully if a gen bezel fits 😁

Sure guys, it will fit like gen crystal also.

Theorically, for that reason, it could be accept also the retainer ring and bezel of 16710 also, unlike the stock 16710 from BP:)

Depends on bezel’s makr type, but this is a result on thr 2836 version with gen bezel, crystal, lowered rehaut and remove the engravings + lugs reworked

For the minor faults and for the price point these should be the perfect sweet spot for franken builds when you consider the issues with cases from folks like BI and their related prices.

I was looking at this Tandorio watch and noticed that the bezel is more gen like with the triangles closer to the crystal
Wonder if a swap would work? Tandorio case is 39mm.

I quite like the 16550 explorer. Would require transplanting the hour markers from a black dial onto the white - I don’t think I’ve ever seen a gen dial for sale anywhere in the last couple of years.. maybe someone has built a rep in the past ?

Doable with two BPs I guess. But may look odd - the white of the BP dial is not quite creamy enough compared to gen. Maybe @KJ2020 has done something similar ?

16550’s had both silver markers and black. Since it’s a transitional piece, sort of like the 16800 (came with painted and silver markers).

The bezel is the biggest difference with the wide numbers, and of course Tritium only dials
