The ad in a German newspaper (here taken from their e-paper) is similar to the ads that appeared before the Moonswatch release.

The use of the crown in the Moonswatch drop led me to the conclusion that it must be the crown of some iconic watch and among the watches and brands of the Swatch Group there are only few that match a luxury divers watch, like the Omega Seamaster or the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms.

Based on the crown design, I expect a drop of the Fifty Fathoms from Swatch similar to the Moonswatch.
It makes perfect sense with the ad and the 70th anniversary of the watch. Blancpain is owned by the Swatch Group and could need a revitalizing popularity boost.

What do you guys think ?

It would be interesting to see how do the DHGate shitters resist the test of a swimming pool, actually. This is how my cheap-o Moonwatch came out from a quick swim in my pool, haha:

Whatever it is I give it 3 months until the first plastic shitters start appearing on DHgate 😂

This for sure, like 10000 % sure.

But, wondering in which 'material' they will make the Case....BioCeramic :D ?

And so, after Omega, everybody will be know Blancpain ......

Probably just regular molded plastic of some sort.

I personally don't think so, The MoonSwatch was in BioCeramic...this BPN will be for sure more expansive, hey will ome out with a 'strange' or 'premium' material of some sort...Ceramic, or something....

Oh you were talking about the gen. Yeah for sure they will use some fancy term for their polymer blend often called polymer alloys. It's still plastic though.

Almost all types of higher end plastics nowadays is some sort of mixture of different components to increase certain properties but not everyone calls their shit gold.

Or maybe they go for something else entirely but you gotta remember it's still a Swatch.

Mixed feelings. On the one hand we have the oldest watch brand (at least the one that can attest business continuity from 1735) that today does, next to the Fifthy Fathoms, high horology pieces with great complications and excellent finishing. And who has as a motto that they have never done quartz, and will never do.
On the other hand, being part of a corporate, they are their b#*ch... Undoubtedly they want to access new market segments, younger people, those who can't afford high prices, and undoubtedly this is where the market is going if we look at the success of microbrands (and the Moonswatch, obviously).
I hope/think that they'll stay true to their motto and keep automatic movements and position themselves as competition to microbrands at a pricepoint of 500-1000 €. Blancpain is not as popular as Omega, it makes sense that, while wanting a bigger market, they will not be able to penetrate to the average Moonswatch customer but the more enthusiast ones.

I hope this is better made than the Moonswatch. Looking forward to seeing what they have done.

I doubt Omega are thrilled that their edition seems to fall apart if you so much look at it.

All I hope is that it's something in the Fifty-Fathoms line.
