i doubt so...or the factory could improve it on next version?

This may be the more likely scenario. I wonder though if the factories will keep improving the ETA version Black Bay, or if the next iteration will copy the new model with in house movement, rivet bracelet, shield logo, and updated dial text...

For sure they will copy the new model and stop copying the older version. That would be my guess. That makes mine a collectors piece

They would definitely rep the newer models as long as people buy them.

Avoid the 2813 version. Wrong stem height, crappy crystal and there are no upgrades available for it. Different case altogether.

They do NOT. That one has a mineral crystal, not sapphire. Also a a2813 CAN NOT be used as a replacement for a ETA 2824 (swiss or clone) because it has a different stem height. The movements are not interchangeable - so the cases are totally different.

Great post. Thanks! Was also considering the V3 with 2813 movement for the lower cost. Look like I might have to reconsider now.

Thanks gsxcbr1 for sharing.

I like Tudor Black Bay very much since it was introduced. I found it very interesting, but after some time I ended I bit "tired" of color combination (then only exist the red bezel version).

When I see the blue version, I followed in love again. I tried to get a gen one, but it was out of my budget.

This post helps me to make a decision, and I will try to get a rep one. And it has to be before factories change to the new 2016 version. I prefer old dial (rose logo is charming), and I don't like the new bracelet. IMO, best improvement in new version is the movement (70 hs reserve), but in a rep I prefer a good and well probed A2824-2.

Thanks.

Have you ever checked the other version Ref. 7923/001?

Is the rep similar to snowflake version, just only different dial and hands?

I'd send an email...I checked myself and they seem the same although one says v2?

I went to a Tudor dealer today to check out a Gen black bay and Gen Palegos. For me, there was no contest and I liked the black bay so much better.

They only had the red and blue versions of the black bay, I asked about the black version but I was told they hardly received any and when they did it was sold quickly.

OP congrats on your Gen.
