Better to relume the dial and hands to match each other in colour and strength.

That would be my plan as well!

Reluming and AR!
I did it on a Black Bay Bronze, great!

Just got mine and I must admit: the dimensions are infinitely better than the regular Black Bay. At least for me ;) Sead might still have some in stock if you're located in the EU. I got mine form him.

So the consensus is to wait for V2?

I think so... The lume issue and the crown seems to be quite annoying. My problem isn’t so much that it’s different to the Gen, but I just find the long crown and different lume not very appealing.

The Rest of the flaws (bezel, little ball at the top, forgot the name, etc.) don’t bother much me much. They are different from the Gen, but don’t look bad to me generally.

I’m happy for everyone who likes the V1, but I think it does make sense to wait for a V2.

Honestly I’m still considering to buy the Gen, I just really like it and the price sounds rather reasonable for what you get. However, I really don’t want to start a huge watch collection and therefore I’m a little hesitant to spend 3k on a watch now.

Fits like a glove, I think they could've even gone the 38mm route. Much more comfortable and attractive than the regular Black Bay. I'll throw it on a NATO this weekend and will post some pictures here. The crown seems more than fine. Not too long like on some previous pictures.

I agree, the Size is perfect - I haven’t been able to wear my 41mm anymore

Side by side with a V5 hulk for size reference:

Honestly, in real life, you just don't notice it. It's like an optical illusion - yet as soon as I take a photo, it's glaringly obvious. However on the wrist, even purposely looking for the lume issue, you just don't see it.
