How would the rules apply in this case? He already broke the moon phase. Does he have 10 days to send a working assembled watch? What if he sends me a broken watch?
Unfortunately I don't think that getting a watch in working condition is a possibility now.
The best that you can hope for is to have the watch and all the parts you sent to him returned to you.
You've lost a lot of time and money, but after 2 years of excuses and lies it seems obvious this individual isn't capable of repairing your watch, despite what he told you.

That would be very unfortunate as I have already lost a genuine Patek moon phase because of his incompetence. But also I would be sitting back with a broken movement that has a broken clutch wheel. And I first of all would know how to solve that. And secondly not how much it will cost.

He said the movement is not with him, but in China. If he is to believed I would have a watch with no movement.

Why would the movement be in China. He most likely could buy a whole movement and drop it in, or replace the watch with a brand new one for not much more And send you your parts back. This is an unfortunate and frustrating situation. You have more patience than I.

So what you are saying is, that it’s expensive to get a movement fixed in china? More so than replacing the movement itself?

OK... The so called watchmaker is in Italy and he sent the movement to China for repair?! Or am I misreading it 😅

That’s is correct. This is what he told us yesterday. His explanation is, that he can’t get the clutch wheel which is broken.

He has gotten a ‘DO NOT TRADE WITH ME’ banner on his profile.
I thank the forum staff for this. I think it’s only fair till the matter is resolved, and because he’s not following staff instructions.

I don’t see the banner 👀

Aside from damaging the moon disc, accidently removing the writing from one of the bridges, he claims he's damaged the castle wheel, because it's a 'very delicate part which can easily break'.

Patek-movement.jpg

The gen' Patek part won't fit, so he's sent the movement back to China, presumably to the factory, so that they can fit a new castle wheel in the keyless works.
