Best panerai rep 2020

With the beginning of the new year, it seems that it makes sense to take stock of the outgoing one.

In accordance with the tradition that I managed to find in this section last year, I invite everyone to write down which rep panerai he thinks is the best that came out this year and why.

I will make a reservation right away that I am not offering specific criteria for determining the best one, let everyone express what is best for him.

I will vote for pam1663.
This is not my favorite model, and not the most accurate rep, I will say more, I do not even have it and did not have it.
I am also a fan of the old panerai.
BUT
I think this model is the best combination of old and new, albeit not in perfect performance from VSF, but very high quality, and in general it's good that they decided to do just that.

Not sure they're the best but they're certainly my two favourites, and they are the 692 and 968, love them both..
Quite taken by the 911, even with its flaws its very nice on the wrist.
XF 127 is solid and will be more so once I marry it up with a decent strap.
1312 just turned up today and is another very nice out of the box rep by VSF..
So many very nice to almost super rep standard Pam's this year but the 968 edges it for me.

I vote Pam 692 for the moment.

I have the noob v11 pam111 and looks great to me also the Pam1661 and im not a guy who looks at miniscule detail but from photos of the originals they look good to me. Plus no one can tell when its on the wrist and thats the point for me.

Have you seen a 112 in person? It looks very.... Empty. Idk what the best word to describe it is. Imo, 000 looks much better in terms of design due to the logo. I guess this comes more down to preference.

1661 and 1313 for me

i love the blue dial with the combination of the new thinner case on the 1313 , i have one on the way

and 1661 is a perfect summer watch !

i love the 1314 too , but it's a complete miss (like the 088) from VSF with those white hands

Among all the listed models/references released by the factories in 2020, my favorites would be :

edit : I don’t own any of these, simply by looking at either gen/rep photos these are the ones that I like. Focused the whole year chasing unicorns that, believe it or not, didn’t buy a single one of the watches from the 2020 list. However, this does not mean I won’t buy any. Sooner or later the 3 listed above will be parked in my watchbox

Yep it totally comes down to preference but I would recommend to go see a base model in person at an AD, if you haven't already (390 though I think doesn't count since it has two line font at the top - I prefer 390 over 112 in terms of the dial design).

It's a lot more "empty" (i.e. Lots of empty space on the dial on a big 44mm watch) than pictures may portray (which you may end up loving or hating after seeing it in person).

To me personally, 111 is a perfect Panerai model (although I went with replica 005 instead due to the closed caseback). 000 works better than 112 due to the logo (again, 100% personal preference after seeing both side by side at an AD in Las Vegas).

The dial is actually greyish brown/tobacco. I had the recent NOOB 390N release before I threw it away

But the "A" font is incorrect. which was a pity, they used to have the correct fonts long ago but they mucked it up this time round
