just a note of thanks to Ale for the reference detail to explain the Y inablock, absolutely amazing detail and so informative. I can't see all of the detail with the naked eye but I think I've been lucky and got a good one. I hope those who are not so lucky can obtain an exchange. good luck

Why we are paying 98$ extra for 0.2 mm piece of metal on the jewel. Is it pure gold? Even tough if it is gold. It doesnt worth it.

Up to you if you should spend more to get a watch closer to gen. Some very experienced members spend more than that to try to get the last 1% closer to the original.
Considering that this is your 4th post, you could try to have a more open approach and try to understand instead of just criticising... just saying.

Have anyone confirmed if this is happening with other PAM models by KW? Or if it's just the 127? I'm curious to know because I just bought a different PAM model from KW

NO, for sure, there are also hybrids with standard serial numbers xxxx/1950. I've seen the pics. Different TD's too. The only "common factor" is "recent purchase"

However, some people asked for the "standar serial" ones and received OOR QC pics.
May be there is an stock shortage of standard case back, too. Or just a "trick" to impress customers , you know, flash effect...whoaaa I've been asigned a rare OOR :w00t:, OK QCs accepted ;-)

Thanks for the comments and the info

I don't reject the "trick" theory

When you pay 90-100 $ for a Incabloc you should expect to get a complete GEN Incabloc system with lyre spring included. That happens usually

Bear in mind that Y Incabloc of new reps of PAM 127 is a modd rep system. The mood is really good, you get a semi-accurate Y shape, but the upper notches in the inner ring are missing and the lyre spring is not gen either.

Alarm is not justified. Let's be cautious.
We have no news of other changes of movements

I contacted Sead this morning about trying to obtain a KW case with KW movement. He will talk to KW tomorrow about getting the correct case and movement sourced.

Ordered a KW 127 on 8th October from Sora, received it yesterday. Didn't know anything about the KWgate, so when ordering I just asked Sora about the 127 KW :)

Here are some phone pics

I checked back in with InTime and received mixed results so far.

I asked about cancelling the order and getting something different, possibly a KW605 instead and have the difference refunded back to me. Ryan didn't sound very interested in that solution and said I'd be charged a 20% restocking fee because they already got the watch from the factory.

Then, Jordan responded and said to give him 2 more days because he thinks he'll be able to source a proper KW127. I left it at that, and won't push the issue until I hear back from Jordan in a few days.

What do you guys think? Was I being unreasonable by asking to choose a different watch and have the difference refunded back to me if they can't find the correct KW127 they are advertising?

Well, you shouldn't have to pay for a watch that is being falsely advertised. TDs shouldn't be getting mad at you either. They should be pointing the finger at the factories who are making these. I would say, see if they can find the KW127 with the right parts. If not, then it wouldn't be unreasonable to get a different watch.

I don't think charging you a 20% restocking fee is fair. You were sent a product that is different than the one that you agreed to purchase. They should allow for a full refund.
