I had my first hiccup with this watch today. I hadn't worn it for 1 week. I wind it up fully at least 40 turns. No movement. I shake it a little to try and get the balance wheel moving. It doesn't work. I tap a little harder. Nothing. I shake it quite hard this time to get the balance wheel to start. Nothing. Fearing the worst I put it back in the box.

Checked it a day later and it somehow came back to life.

Mine took like 60+ winds to start moving the first time, I thought it might be DOA but it does start up, it just takes a LOT of winds. I still haven't found a hard-stop on the winding, might be an automatic mainspring, but it does take a lot of winds to stay running. I do 90 a day and it's running at COSC.

Yeah. It was just a scare lmao. I'll report back to see if there's any further issues. Otherwise it keeps time at +3s/day fully wound.

Honestly before I owned a BBR i wasn't a fan of RM but it's my go to gym and soulcycle watch. I still don't see the purpose of upgrading into the ZF right now.

The only comment I have is sometimes i see that the watch will stutter just a teensy bit. Usually happens after I deadlift heavy (i know shock but whatever). Don't know if others have the same issue.

Meant to say considering getting the BBR V3 for the white ceramic Bubba. Should I wait for the new ZF instead?

Up to you. If you are dead set on the RM55 it is your grail wait for ZF to release.

If you're just looking to try and have fun with it the BBR is great at half price.

Is there any way to get a ZF now? If not where can I get the best BBR??

I read quite a few pages back to find a summary of differences between BBR RM055 V2 and V3. Cannot seem to find anything that lists all differences. If anyone can summarise that would be appreciated.

I have a BBR RM055 V1 in black ceramic and am considering the BBR RM055 V3 in White ceramic but not sure of V2 to V3 differences.

Also, after reading all 50 pages of the ZF RM055 and seeing that they painted the ribs on I am leaning to the BBR. My V1 stem broke off a while back and I was able to get it repaired and I still have the stutter and red jewel. I know the BBR V2 fixed to the clear jewel, but does V3 still have stutter of seconds hands?

Thanks

v3 is a totally different movement that shares no parts with the v1/v2. The easiest way to recognize it is by the thick bridge at the 6:30ish position.

PureTime sent me a reply saying BBR cannot fill orders now. Not sure if that means cannot get the V3 forever or just for a time period.

They’re probably not making the v3 anymore and have begun making their v4 which doesnt have the extra gear at 9 o clock so itll be more like zf, rm factory and sonics new movements

I got word from a non-TD when I tried to order a VC 6000V at the end of Aug/early Sept, they got raided and have gone on hiatus for a while now. Unknown if they will be back.

The biggest issue with the ZF 055 is the painted on ribs of the movement. No idea why they did this since the ZF 35-02 has the correct ribs that are raised and brushed.

This is why I was trying to see if the BBR V3 in White ceramic was available still. And PureTime said no but not sure if they will ever come back.
