Baselworld 2011 Tour (continued)
Glashütte Original and Blancpain
Glashütte is actually a small town in Eastern Germany, with a tiny population. But quite a few watch companies sit there. Glashütte Original is one of them.
Glashütte Original and Blancpain shared a booth. I wonder why they had a black Lamborghini and no German car.
Some here have the Senator Sixties (I don't, regrettably).

Same booth, different company:
Blancpain
They had a very nice, large display of vintage Blancpain watches. They reminded me of the new Breitling Superocean.
Notice this funny day indicator:
A very interesting part was a live demonstration. They had watchmakers there with two full-blown work benchs, complete with spares galore. I saw a tray with elaborate hands and cog wheels ... The best was that they had overhead monitors for the microscopes.
And here the guy in the middle says "This is not true to gen" and the person to the right seems to say "Oh f*ck I don't care if it is not 1:1, it looks good - that is sufficient for me to sell it." Pix LOLed when he saw me making this photo.
Another impression of the hall.
Oh noes! We completely left out Omega
