That one was interesting from the size point of view : 41mm, the perfect balance between the small 38 and the usual 44...
DrVerylong also saw a "gay Hublot"; kind of Gaytona by Hublot :cute:

Not toally unexpected. After all, it's pronounced "You Blow", right? ;)

A booth at a huge convention like this one is very expensive, and because of the economical crisis some brands feels like they can't justify the expense anymore. But horology is not the only field to face this phenomena, it's getting pretty common these days.

Baselworld 2011 Tour (continued)

Time for a break - the weather outside was just too nice.
IMG_0925_DxO.jpg

Some inexpensive cars. Further down the road were also the Luis Vitton cars, all cheap, fuel-saving economy size models. Cool matte finish.

The guys in blue are swiss police. Abundantly about, probably for a reason.

Some fancy pavillons:

Wellendorf Jewellery: Braided gold cords, very nice stuff for the ladies.

"Sir, you are not allowed to take any pictures. You show me now that you delete the photos right here". The hag to the right. Hairs on her tongue. Erm, why exactly do you exhibit again? So people can NOT take pictures? LOL

Sorry PecMan, the Breitling booth was really tight. We had the B01's and some Bentleys. The pics weren't good so I didn't post them. No Supersports there, I'm afraid.

This is the Breitling stuff I had on file:

And because I am mean sometimes I hold my camera over the fence when the security guard is looking elsewhere :) That was behind the fence on the Breitling Pavillon - they had a cool bar there.

Sinn

Io and behold, finally we found the Sinn booth - well hidden in the corner. Quite forbidding looking, actually. Please - as with the others pictures - also note Pix's photos. He's got a different angle and less glare.

003.jpg

New Regulateur. Actually a copy of a Lange&Söhne Regulateur.
Please note my upcoming review on this adorable beauty. 44mm have never been THIS big. Honestly.
IMG_0951_DxO.jpg

And the black beauty version, more technical (please also expect a review in the next days, same specs as above). I adore the Regulateurs.
IMG_0953_DxO.jpg

Cool new retro watch ("The technical sporty watch")
Tegiment-Technology (whatever that means)

IMG_0980_DxO.jpg

Sinn at its best. Plain and simple. With enamel lacquor. Very cool, way better in reality than can be pictured here.
When can I get this, please?
IMG_0954_DxO.jpg

Porcelain Watch (lol, porcelain translates to "Chinaware")
There is some background to this: Next to Sinn there is the City of Höchst, that is very famous for its porcelain wares. Think Meissen without the baroque add-ons. Since Sinn is located in Frankfurt, Germany, and therefore next to Höchst, some clever guy came up with this porcelain dial. Not for everyone, especially for me, but granted it is something different.
IMG_0955_DxO.jpg

Missed: Finanzplatz ("Stock exchange")
A highly coveted watch, very popular with the bankers in Frankfurt ("Bankfurt").

I was amazed to see the very obvious sunken datewheel on a gen here:

IMG_0967_DxO.jpg

I'd like to sit there right in the middle :D

That would be the watch for Trailboss99, then

Thank you guys - you've done a great job!

Am I the only one who supposes that the watchmakers turned away from classy look and start with really bling-bling watches?
