stock bezel insert ? looks damn good OOTB

Thanks yes stock. The pic below is 2015 before Noob switched to a dark silver insert color. My 2016 GMT CHS looks good in sun light but gets lost with indoor lighting. I don’t get why Noob changed it.

Now let’s get back to the star of the show ARF SD43 beauty [emoji41]

I love the SD4K case shape and lugs but find 40mm small. What can I say about SD43 size? Feels close to my EXP42 in size and comfort. Wears smaller than 44 PAMs. And smaller than the DSSD which I call a chunky monkey [emoji12]

What’s cool about SD43 for me is it wears like a larger Sub. If you have a 7” + wrist it looks perfect for a sport watch and still fits nicely under a dress shirt cuff

My problem is that I have a 6.3" wrist lol! However I have had the EXP 2 42mm, and thought it fit my wrist just fine (probably due to the flat caseback, it sat lower) however the dial looks smaller on the SD43, which helps shrink it down a bit.

I was happy with the SD4k, but I thought it was just slightly too thick/tall. The SD43 does not seem to be that much taller, so maybe I should give it a shot :)

I know what you mean. The 40mm SD is 15mm thick and seems a tad chunky. But same 15mm with 43 is balanced. It’s a great ratio

Great review and pics. Does anyone know obvious differences between the different makers/ models (arf, vrf, BP) when looking at qc pictures?

Would a SD4k 40mm be to small for a 7,8 inch wrist and would a SD43 thus look much better?

(I think I might be looking for excuses to order the SD43 instead hahaha)

Been wearing mine for the last two days and then just put on the ARF Daytona for a few hours. You forget how much smaller and lighter normal sized watches are, but I guess I knew what I was getting myself into at 43mm!

That said, the SD43 from ARF is by all accounts a super-rep in my opinion. Extremely impressive build. Hope they do a Subby with the SD insert, its so Gen-like its almost unbelievable.

Well you’re out of excuses my friend. If you’re wrist is close to 8” you need the SD43. Maybe even the 44mm DSSD beast [emoji12]

This ARF 904L SD red is really blowing my mind in the quality dept. I'm really impressed!

It is. It’s a step above in every way. Even the lug engravings are deep, not etched. The rotor in the A2824 is quite

I don’t know what the black hole effect is and don’t want to. Ignorance is bliss [emoji57]
