ARF SD43 904L 126600 review (many pics)

There are 3 variations that I am aware of now

1) Very first V1 initial batches the DW was HUGE. Like 4x mag (these were really bad like on page 1 of this thread).
2) The later batches of the V1 which I still have now has perfect DW mag at x2.5 (as per my pictures and the above picture.
3) The one I just received yesterday which is the latest V2 batch with bad magnification again - this time its big but not as initial V1s. I think this one is like x3 or x3.5 magnification but still very obvious when its in your hand. (again my pictures above show the difference)

Not interested in V1s with correct mag - those ones are good and we all know that.

I have a feeling ALOT of the V2s have incorrect mag thats why I am asking for side by sides with either a Noob v7 sub or any genuine Rolex.

I think any SD43 received after CNY is the V2. Looking at more pictures from the TDs it does look like the magnification is off on their website as well. More evident on Chazingtimes website.

Please post side by side pics. I'm hoping mine is an isolated case but I dont think so. - I know 3 ppl now with the same issue.

I just received mine today. Fellas, on the wrist it is perfect. I can’t detect a flaw with my 1.5 reading glasses on. It feels well built and robust, especially the bracelet. The down side.... it doesn’t pass the Chinese girl “Tap test”. Meaning when you meet a girl in China she is going to tap your watch with her fingernail. In her mind, if it’s not solid as a rock its fake. The only rep I have that can fool a Chinese woman is my PAM111.

Good observation. I have one incoming from Sead, i'll post a QC pic with a comparrison to my noob sub. No biggy for me - a cyclops on a SD is just bullshit dawg. Its coming off as soon as I get it - heat it up, and flick it off with a scalpel blade.

Had to reject my QC pics. The rehaut was completely misaligned on mine . Hopefully, the next one turns out right. Now I have to worry about the date wheel as well.

Guys,

You need to be careful the new V2 has incorrect mag again. Its not as huge as the initial first batches but now its like x3 mag instead of the Rolex specified 2.5x mag. I honestly don't know why they do stupid things like this. Seriously.

Here is some comparisons of a watch I got yesterday. It looks quite big when its next to a Noob v7 or a Gen. Not the best pics but you guys can see it.

Some ppl say its not much difference but when you have seen and held gens a lot especially right next to the new ARF 43 - its very very obvious the mag is totally incorrect.

Nah I like the cyclops. So disappointed right now in this. It was almost a perfect rep now they have gone backwards. Just like Noob I guess.

Disappointed to know they dropped the ball with the last release. I guess that is the issue with this hobby.

Folks tend to sit on the fence and wait for newer version hoping the flaws in the previous version will be sorted but in fact there are no improvements. Especially with the SD 43, I mean why bother with a deco plate ??? I have also noticed the price hike on the ARFs... From V1

I am doing the same. My new ARF will be at my hotel in Shenzhen when I arrive in two weeks. I will have to try the Chinese girl test.

So it has a small flaw here and there. None of those tiny unnoticeable details ever took my thrill of wearing this solid gen like Rollie. It screams quality in person. It’s still the best stock rep I’ve ever bought. Mine is from the first batch from November and it still amazes me today. Even if BP, VR, Noob upgraded to 904L they still wouldn’t come close.

I've got a really nice V2 that fixes some of those flaws but regardless I cannot stress enough how much better this watch is than the competition. Nothing will ever be 100% perfect but this release marks the next level of REPs. Noob is laughable in comparison and I'll never wear another one of their products again, unless they seriously make massive improvements (not looking like it).

Also, doesn't hurt that mine gains +/- 0 seconds a day when resting face down. I know that's luck but that's insane even for the highest end GEN. Noob was +12 seconds for me and that's not even bad. Hell, my favorite GEN is at +4 seconds a day and I thought that was nice.

As you say "gen-like" is an apt description. If you are not constantly zooming in on your watch with a camera lens and scrutinizing it, it might as well be a GEN for daily use.
