Another awesome work by Jonj480 !

ARF V2 Base
He did the following:
  • Tightened the bezel and bezel spring to the right pressure
  • Reshaped and Polished the entire watch, specifically addressing lug profiles and bezel teeth sharpness
Overall, the watch was very well built from the factory. I sent it to Jon to address the subtle issues as the bezel was too sharp for me and was a dead giveaway to other Gen owners. To add on, there are very subtle differences between a "Super" quality replica and Genuine watch that tell each other apart such as insert numerical plating, and overall fit and finish of the entire watch. Nothing beats R factory, and I'm a strong believer that you should never be so picky with how these reps come out of the factory. Unless you have the coin to pay for gen pricing, modding these watches with parts and labour to look and feel like gen, we shouldn't forget the true value in the rep industry lies within these companies being able to nail these pieces to 90% of the gen quality without the consumers having to dive too far into the franken route. Regardless, here's the watch next to my 116710, enjoy and thanks again to Jon!

i've a question, why is your bezel insert has so many black residue like thingy in it? is it fading off or just when modding the stuff got into it?

Hi :)

how difficult was it to source and is it still expensive ?

Thx !!
J.

I am just happy to have the gen Xtal, no matter what the price. The better sapphire quality and colorless AR on the cyclops are a nice upgrade. I merely wanted to post a comparison shot to show the difference between the gen and V1 rep crystals. ARF had correct magnification on their original crystals.

I agree with this. Gen glass makes all the difference. At first, it seems excessive, but when you get used to looking through Gen Glass, it makes all of the difference.

Guys, I just ordered a 126600 from a dealer in China (with a great price of course). Was just wondering if anyone was able to source the right rubber strap for it? I believe the right diameter would be 21mm need some advice on this. And puretime released the ARF oysterflex rubber strap which is interesting however its 20mm that suits the subs more. Any advice?

Do take note the SD43 has a wide bracelet that measures 22mm at the lugs and 19mm at the clasp. This vulcanized rubber is Rubber B Glide lock Series with VulChromatic its $280 USD, i bought it from Indonesia Jakarta when i was there for holiday and you need to choose the VulChromatic version to have the red underneath color, there is only one color for now and the red matches the Red font perfectly.

Take note it fits rep sd43 but if your lug holes doesn't fit perfectly due to rep flawed inaccuracy, you can slightly bend the spring bar carefully to fit it in :) i've tested on both gen and rep sd43 and it is good.

It realllly looks amazing! Oh Jakarta? I am from Malaysia. Gotta find out whether do they have em here. The VulChromatic one really pops compared to just a plain black one. The subtle red accents really made the difference! Thanks for your recommendation. Does it mean most 22mm rubber bracelets will fit the SD43 right?

I was interested in this watch until I came across comments like these about the V2 bracelet being awful. Are recent batches also with the bad bracelets or has it been fixed?

I don't think they fix the bracelet, i do agree the bracelet feels a little light and rattle but it's ok no big dea! i put it overnight in baby oil and let it soak and cleanse the dirt out, i love the clasp it's really well made. What do you mean by awful? to be honest after all it's just a rep b but it's considered a very good OOTB compared to others

Placed an order and got QC. Everything looks good on this one but the 12 o'clock marker is crooked (tip not aligned with coronet) and has a kink or dent in the metal on the upper right. This may drive me nuts every time I look at it, but do you guys think it's worth rejecting?
