Rob today my after market crystal gasket arrived. but it's different. They guys who sell this on ebay say Sea Dweller 116660 44mm. But when I try to press
OGEV Ring to the case nothing happens it's not tight at all, does it have to fit tightly? The after one doesn't have the step and the clamping ring do nothing too. You know what part number is the crystal gasket?? 316, 318 or 295??

The right one is the ARF original. Left one after market

It looks like that the notch is missing on the aftermarket ? and it‘s thinner than the ARF one. I think that’s the reason it won’t fit...as for the Crystalnumber i‘m not sure which one is correct.
i don‘t know if ARF is 1:1 like gen or if your aftermark is different. You could also try a TD to get the part from ARF

theclaw25 everytime I’ve tried to get parts from ARF I never receive them. Pure time takes a payment for them but I’ve waited months and never actually got anything so end up just getting a refund. I’ll try and find out if the ARF gasket is same as gen, maybe it’s different. Kinda annoying because it’s like everytime you want to service or mod an ARF watch and you damage a gasket the whole watch is useless as getting parts isn’t easy

That‘s the Problem...its said as 1:1 but sometimes they change some little but important Parts like Gaskets that are not 1:1....
But what makes me curious, some people installed a gen Crystal i think i remember...so the gen gasket should work - maybe the aftermarket Gasket is wrong?

Try Mr.Timezone for ARF parts!!! I think he can get it!
and you don’t have to pay first - only if he says it’s available!

Maybe you could write with a supporting Vendor like Prof Crystal - maybe they have some knowledge what can be done best.

I will also check some people for the Gasket!

Sound good to me Rob. Could be great to know who have this part available. I start to investigated. I have very close to me a Rolex Store. But I'm afraid to ask any question you know what we talking about.

I talked with Prof. Crystal and he say is very hard to find the only way is talk to the TD:huh1: Or used the old gasket and used some silicon sealer around, could be work but just for shower or swimming pool. Anyways he suggest to talk to TD.

Let me see now with Mr.Timezone cross finger ready.....:praying:

Yes i would also try to get the Part first. Sealing/glueing the crystal back could be the last step.

Mr.Timezone is really great for Spareparts! but it will maybe take it’s time.

Something I can do, but I don't sure about it. I will used a Teflon tape in the damaged one all around to create a seal. Teflon tape is very thin but is strong and can take any shape or form. ( i will do this like surgery doctor cutting the plumber Teflon tape with scalpel) This Teflon tape can hold 5000 PSI of pressure in regular thread. This is over a Teflon gasket I don't really know what happened , the good is the Teflon tape can take the shape of the gasket and fill the damaged parts, the tricky here is when I used the pressure ring over the crystal gasket what will happen…….ohh my....let see.

That‘s a good idea and worth a try! and if its resistant for showering maybe it‘s enough for you? I would never go swimming/diving with it...even its gen lol^^

When I pressure the
OGEV to the case not give me enough room, so doesn't work is tight and firm but not work. Next is make a ring with marine silicon on the OGEV. Oh my...….

theclaw25 it’s strange. Just look at the case breakdown pic on the first page of this thread. The gasket looks the same as the ARF with the step out at the bottom for the OGEV ring. Did you contact the supplier of the aftermarket gasket to see if they sent the right one?
