Would report this „TD“ and never deal with them again!!! There are plenty of good TD‘s out there so no need to deal with one that either lies or can‘t distinguish his own products. Hope this gets sorted out mate.

Not really if you’re inexperienced... the ARF hands don’t fit 1:1 on the VR movement. Some require to be tightened, others need to be made “loose”.

Already ordered vr3185 movement, gen d/w and gen crystal.

Sometimes ARF hands will fit fine on a VR3185. If not, you have to crimp them to close the diameter slightly. You can use strong tweezers or a pin vise. You need to be very careful not to distort the shape of the visible hole surround on top. Typically the GMT hand and the minute hand need crimping. The second hand almost always needs broaching (hole made larger). You can use a needle for that. If it gets too loose, use a drop of locktite in the hole collar. Let the locktite harden a little before pressing so it doesn't run.

Well even a "shit" movement may last you a long time. From the LN ARF vs VRF threads I have learned that some of the ARF movements work just ifne and others conk out. It certainly seems better than the Noob "timebomb" but even there some have been lucky and it has kept on ticking.
I also have a gen crystal and a VR movement ready for install in a worthy rep to replace my 126710 GMF. I had earmarked the GMF for that but have been holding off for a better one. Looking at these ARF reps I may have found it!

That bezel looks great, it's the 1rst time I see a Batman rep coming straight up without speedbumps, tempting.
But what about the movement then? Hope you can get it working...

Not sure I took the caseback off and it the balance wheel swings ok. The date is two days different from the QC pics so it must’ve ran for awhile before it stopped. I’m sure my TD will help me out.
there are some tiny itsy bitsy speed bumps on the 6. They are very hard to see though.

Looks great! They did a good job on the shade of “blue” on the bezel. Sounds like what happened to my SH movement as well... just died, I couldn’t get it to run again. A service would probably help it, but it would cost you the same to just pick up a VR movement. I swapped my SH to a VR and it’s been running SO NICE! Definitely recommend that (as others have said).

I honestly think ARF hasn’t swapped to the VR movement get because it would require them to change the machining process on their hands. Right now their hands fit the SH fine, but require tinkering to fit the VR properly.

I'm just starting to read this thread and don't know if it's been pointed out yet but is that dial not centered?
The minute hashes on the bottom of the dial don't look to be touching the rehaut while on top they're tucked away nicely the way they're supposed to be.

True - the movement might be able to be shifted downward slightly in the case, though it may be that when perfectly centered all of the tic marks will float. Personally that doesn't bother me much as long as it's centered. I used to just "blur my vision" to minor flaws like this, now I don't even have to, I just can't see them as well haha.
I have a VR3186 ready to swap. I planned on servicing the SH3186 but now I feel
like I should wait for an answer from PT? I dunno. I don’t want lose out on having a running SH3186. What do you think? Go ahead an swap?
