So they still have the wobly bezel? Do they at least accept gen insert without modification?

My arf ln doesn’t have a wobbly bezel but I did improve the click with a better click spring. Can’t decide if it would benefit much from a gen insert.

I’ve fitted a gen click spring on my arf Ln. Has stronger resistance for a better feel. Gen crystal too.

can you show side view ? i would like to see the crystal height with gen gasket and gen crystal.
I do not like the ARF height of crystal comparing to JF or GEN.

I don’t think the bezel is wobbly, it just turns easily and needs more resistance..

Ro13x thank you for this priceless comparo. Beautiful gen Kermit...hold onto that!

Curious if you see a difference in the gen 904L with the ARF? How is the bracelet brushing compared to the gen?

In your photos it seems the ARF crown guards shape are close to the gen?

Here are some photos to compare to a gen late 2007 Kermit.

I think I will not change the bezel insert because there are 5 different versions B1-B5 (see link below).

+ Movement runs very good

As mentioned above I will do the following mods to the watch:

- gen crystal
- gen date wheel
- gen rotating ring and click spring (hope can fix wobbling bezel)
- gen crown
- brushing bracelet to gen specs + oil bath
- breaking edges on the bracelet (to sharp edges)

First of all big thanks for taking the time and effort to make this very nice detailed comparison review!
Really add value to this thread.

I am curious if the ARF case accepts the complet bezel assembly, did you have tried it already to put the gen on the AR?

m5smg2 Thank you!! My gen Kermit is back in the bank safe and I will keep it for sure.

The brushing on the ARF is OK but the gen has a more fine brushing but the brushing is the smallest flaw on this watch.

Case looks good to me and I thing it is a good base to build up a nice watch.
I talked to my "watch artist" and he said no problem to fix the wobbly bezel because thats the biggest flaw on the ARF Kermit in my opinion.

I have the SD43 V3 from ARF and this watch is really perfect and with a gen crystal it is a stunner so I don't understand why the bracelet on the Subs (116610 V3, 16610) has these sharp edges. They ar not as sharp as on bad reps but much too sharp compared to gen so I have to work on the edges to make the bracelet feel gen.

I don't know what to do with the movement should I flip it with a VR3135? How reliable are these SH3135 from ARF?

I softened my bracelet edges and fitted a VR movement.

It fitted perfectly other than nipping the hour hand to fit tighter onto the VR pinion.

Maybe someone knows if the crown will be a straight fit on the ARF tube?
Or wil it be shaved a tad to sit nice close to the case?

The crown is usually a straight swap these days. Crown tube isn’t always without countersinking the case though.

but what model does the insert of this Arf Kermit correspond to?
