I double checked mine the past two days at 11:59pm, and the date does flip exactly at midnight. People were complaining about the movement and the instant date change, but this was a completely unfounded issue. I also tried to change the time manually -- again, instant flip at midnight.

Ultimately:
- Movement keeps great time, and the date flip is instant
- Finish and quality of the bracelet is absolutely amazing
- The SELs are just fine, and mine at least are very close to the gen (may need to QC)
- THE DW is centered and the crystal quality is great (again, need to QC)
- Dial color for the blue is very close to gen, and the sunburst effect is beautiful. The lume quality is amazing.
- The biggest negative is that the DW is bolder than it should be. With certain numbers, the boldness issue is more noticeable than others. With other numbers, it's not noticeable at all. On the wrist, it would be difficult to notice.

thanks for the review. Question: are you talking about DJF version? or ARF version?

Can we now get a DayDate with a updated day wheel for the love of watches... it’s been 2 years or going on 3 since any updates to the DD, a 41mm would be nice.

BlackJaguar , I can only confirm what you say, I have mine in hand now and it's simply beautiful. The only thing that bugs me isn't even the too bold numbers, but that the numbers are a bit too far down in the date wheel window. Is it the same with your watch?

Congrats on the watch, Adrian. Wear it in good health, bro.

Your problem sounds like a QC issue. I may have gotten lucky with mine, but my DW is perfectly centered. During the QC phase, before I green lighted the watch, I asked them to send me photos from different angles to make sure the DW was well centered.

Seems like it. Anyway, I can only say it is beautiful and it's not obvious on wrist. Thanks, congrats on yours too!

I'll have to admit that I'm a bit worried about my date numbers haha. Do you think this is an obvious tell BlackJaguar?

For comparison, this is how it looks like on wrist at a reasonable distance:

Adrian, the DW does appear a bit lower than it should be up close. but it's less noticeable (if at all) from afar. Is the situation specific to the number 6, or the other numbers, as well? It seems like a quick fix for a watchsmith to adjust.

Thanks for your answer. I think it's the same for all 1-digit-numbers, but it's less noticeable on the 2 digits (although these seem to be a bit lower too). Yes you could be right, but I think I'm not able to give it away for a few weeks to fix that :-D

My single dates seem fine.
Double date print just to thick.

HA! I don't blame you. I would wait a bit before I fixed the issue, as well. ;)

The watch looks stunning. Wear it in good health, my friend. See, your DW is not as low and is better centered.

My double date prints are too thick, as well (imo). The single digit dates are a bit more passable.

Has anyone purchased the oyster bracelet and regret not going and waiting for the jubilee bracelet? I might have to goto an ad to check it out in person. But I’m leaning towards the jubilee but hate waiting. Might buy and sell the oyster when the jubilee is out

lee714 I think is only a personal preference. I’ve always wanted a 36mm with jubilee but the 41mm looks better (to me) with the oyster bracelet. Since it has a bigger (fluted) dial the reflections are going to be much more noticeable. In my (silly) opinion the jubilee would have “too much going on” in terms of reflections and all, where the 36 is much more of a “fine” watch.

Once again, it’s personal preference. There are people that like pineapple on pizzas, so everything is good at the end as long as you like it.

What would be better than for overall casual, dressy, working out, boating, etc then? Jubilee or oyster bracelet?
