I have the ARF DJ41 and think it’s a bit big. Is there a decent rep of the 36? Haven’t found a thread

Thanks for the reply. The datewheel font isnt the problem for me, there was a comparison between various gen dws above in the thread, and gen indeed has some thick and ugly ones as well. Compared to past qc pics, I think its pretty good.

Yes I do agree with you on the gen dw, it is miles better but I can live with the stock, after all it is a rep.

It's only a matter of time until they correct the Date Wheel. I'm sure they've been made aware of the issue from the various TD's.

We are only a small market to the factories, people are still going to buy them, just like the noob sub. It is already V10 and still have flaws.

I think to say a gen datewheel is needed is a little exaggerated. Of course a gen dw is a nice upgrade as well as a gen xtal but it's not like it's a must have for everyone. There are way worse arf fonts out there than this example and if it doesn't bother you who cares.

Hi all, can I just get some opinions on the datewheel for my qc? I feel its a little too thick but acceptable. Main problem is that the bottom of the 2 seems slanted and not aligned, could be camera angle. I have asked for clearer pics.

I have zoomed in for 26 and 28, the common problems.

your cyclopes magnification seems to be corrected but they are still using the wrong datewheel. Kind of interesting, i'm assuming they can't keep up with the demand on the datewheel production. you may have a hard time finding anything better. I personally prefer 36mm and really like the GMF DJ 36mm 2836 with the roman numerals, thought the blue dial is not as accurate as ARF's (but both are still slightly wrong). However at least the datewheel is perfect on GMF 36 and it fits my slender wrist perfectly. I would say the quality on the ARF bracelet is superior but the fit of the GMF bracelet is more gen (more flexible, though you can fix that with some oil). Too bad no silver 36mm with reliable movement.

EDIT: for the GMF, i personally got the white roman one as it was the most gen. Blue roman numeral has the swiss made stamp placed incorrectly and the sticks dial have incorrect size indices.

I can tell you, you wont regret it. It's one hell of a watch, i am in love with mine :D.
And if the datewheel will start to bug you in the future its an rather easy fix anyway.

Ive got a 7 inch circumference wrist and am thinking of getting a midnight blue fluted bezel DJ on jubilee. Would a 41mm or 36mm be more appropriate?

36mm Seiko 5 Military on Nato on my wrist attached for reference.

Tbh based from the pictures i would think a 36mm datejust would suit you just fine. It kind of wears bigger if you got a fluted bezel.
But on the other hand it's all about preference really.
My wife for example likes bigger watches. And i don't even start talking about Pams :D

Id go 41, (its really 39.5mm anyway)
I have a 7.5 inch wrist, and it is on the smaller side of things, but nice and comfortable, any smaller and it starting bordering on looking like your wearing a ladies size.
